What an unexpected gem!
9/10, if you loved Subnautica I'd definitely give it a try. I'm amazed at how well they made everything appear so smooth and well-detailed throughout the entire game. Coming from subnautica it all feels a lot more "polished" and it's probably the least "jagged" space free-roam game I've ever seen.
The humor/comedy element is maybe a bit too much for some, but if you go into it looking for a chill space-exploration survival/crafting game with a great atmosphere and commentary you'll love it. The story also actually gets quite interesting after Normandy (trying to avoid spoiling)

One major downside for me was the annoying grind at times. There will be minor spoilers here, but I'll avoid storyspoiling. After 30 minutes I get quite annoyed at all the small runs, BUT you will get a vehicle which will change EVERYTHING when it comes to exploring. Getting more oxygen is also insanely recommended so first thing I did when I could was research the 275sec oxygen tank. There is also insanely annoying grind-part after the Normandy questline where you have to run back and forth a LOT in some stations which I didn't enjoy whatsoever. Really wish there were fast travel (which there is actually ONCE).

Get through those sections and you'll thoroughly enjoy this light-hearted and absolutely stunning game! Recommend playing with a controller. I played with a stadiacontroller

I tried to do everything as fast as I could and got through it in 16 hours. I'll keep playing as there are some things I haven't made yet

Runs great on my 2012/13 hardware - 780GTX / i7-3770k

At it's current state it is not working from me. I am at a slightly older system with i7-3770k and gtx 680 but even so i am still running most newer games and things like RDR2 at decent frames. This one just crashes and jitters at the lowest imaginable settings. Tried 3 times (even waiting through the 8minute loading screen) but as of now it is not worth it for me. Will wait on requesting refund as I believe devs are working on this giving they just released a hotfix (tho the hotfix did not work for me). If the game works I do believe it is very fun and straight up my alley but be aware if you have similiar specs :)

Played this on and off since launch. Actually have it on a CD with a case and all (it's an old game). I just return to it here and there to play some good story-lines and be an evil little ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ :) If you like star wars this game might surprise you and the free to play is actually playable. I usually buy a month or two of subscription whenever I return to it though just cuz

Twas good. Didn't bother much with the details in the beginning, but kinda regretted it down the line as I realized the story was very good oh well

I was majorly critical when it first released and my mates all bought it. After the pathfinder update though it really got its' footing and the game is now straight up splendid. I love wasting numerous hours just mining for one simple task I've given myself and at this point I'm not even following any questlines anymore, just trying to become a galaxy mogul B)

Edit dec2024: The game that never stops giving. It's 8 years old, but they keep giving us more and more and I'm all here for it both on steam version and PS5
