Only 30 minutes with the Steam version, but years upon years with the far less user friendly, I can easily recommend this as the best way to get into that game people like me say is the most powerful game experience they've had. After my own brain got used to using a mouse it became so simple to interact, and it's just amazing to watch as more people get a chance to see what games are capable of.

Dwarf Fortress is my favorite game. I hope it'll be yours now too.

If you have friends to play with it can be unforgettable.
