This game is so addictive. You will struggle, struggle, struggle until something happens to hit and then you're launched immediately into the big-leagues. Managing the sudden growth and trying your hand in various offers is astoundingly fun. Getting to build your office out with all of the wonderful tools is an absolute joy. The level of detail is perfect and finding solutions to all of the irritations and inefficiencies can keep me awake for far too long.

It's like 2D Space Engineers, but less broken. Making ships is fun and interesting, combat is exciting, and you can roll out with a whole squad of ships. The controls are not super intuitive, but you'll get used to it. I like that it's open ended so you can kind of just do whatever interests you.

I really want to like this game, but the futility is overwhelming. If this game was first person and not third person then it'd make a lot more sense. The limited views and having to drag your cursor around to "aim" is garbage. I also hate that its WW1/2 because of how played out the theme is.

The concept, detail, and depth is truly fantastic, but the execution just doesn't yield a very fun game.

FIRST AND FOREMOST- DO NOT REMOVE THE STUMPS AS THE TREES REGROW FROM STUMPS. This game is very underrated. Excellent amounts of fun per dollar here, even at full price. I hope the devs keep releasing content because the tech tree does get a little shallow/grindy towards 50hrs, but there's always something else to try and places to explore. The map is absolutely gorgeous and well laid-out. Make sure you start your city somewhere towards the center of the map that is interesting and beautiful for optimal enjoyment. The years really don't pass very quickly and I'm still the initial character and my son is like 2 years old at 63 hours in. I'll never see my son grow up. Also the paths dont merge right and the textures overlap, so it looks pretty wonk.

The game's performance is pretty rough right now, but it does look amazing overall. I'm playing on a watercooled and overclocked 2070 super at 4K with all max everything and getting 25-30fps. Sometimes I get dips down into the low 20s in high density areas, but its still quite playable. The building limit is interesting (in a bad way) because if you couple that with the lineage concept you get this game conflicting with itself. I have my building limit set to 200% and I'm almost done expanding my city.

I have noticed some glitches where characters I dismiss from my city will just walk into the middle of the lake and just stand there with water up to their neck until I go to sleep. I never see those characters again and presume they've just eventually drown or were eaten by fish.

This game is fantastic. I have had so much fun playing with friends. Unfortunately there is limited content and the community maps are generally extremely buggy to the point where they are unplayable. I just hope the devs release more content for it.

I do not understand why this game is "very positive". This game has some potential, but its not there yet. This is hopefully early-alpha. There needs to be some kind of introduction to the game and what to do- not much, but just a quick synopsis would help. I don't really care for the random card draw upgrades as you cannot count on anything. Maybe if they let me deselect upgrades from the pool or if I had to select a certain number of cards like MTG it would be improved. There needs to be multiple game modes as well, beyond how many routes go to your tower. Co-op would be a great addition, especially if they added an endless mode. The towers need their range shown while placing because as it stands you just have to kind of guess. Upgrade ratings are just guesswork (e.g. what does base damage +1 even mean? what does range +1 mean?) You can level up your towers individual damage vs health/armor/shields, but when you do that the towers overall level increments. Does an overall level increment improve range or anything else? IDK.

The soundtrack is pretty good for a couple hours, but it gets tiring.

At the end of the day, its fun for a few hours. There's no replayability unless you survive off achievements. At its normal cost of fiveteen dolores it's absolutely not worth it. MAYBE it'd be worth it at half-off. It's definitely worth it if its 75%+ off. If they add in more game modes and fix the disastrous card mechanic then I could see it being worth full price some day. That being said, I don't expect the developer to do anything else with this game and it will only ever be worth a few bucks to waste some time before bed one night and never pick it up again. I'd love to see the dev exceed my expectations and passionately work on this game as it does have serious potential.

This is an amazing RPG. Everything feels very authentic and the environment is beautiful. Everything makes logical sense, the story is engaging (and seemingly true to life?), crafting potions is actually fun, and trading is done right. I'm absolutely terrible at the combat, but for someone with skill I'm sure its a lot of fun. The way KCD handles reading is 10/10. You have to learn how to read and spend a few days doing so. Before you learn how to read the letters are all scrambled up, you can fairly easily read through it but what you hear in your head actually sounds like someone struggling to read. However, I wish there was more crafting to be done as Id like to make my own armor, clothes, etc. I feel like that was intended but maybe scrapped before release since the materials are all there to do it. Id also like the option of just settling down and starting a shop of my own. I really hope there are more games coming from WH because this is amazing.
