When I first played Resident Evil 6, I thought "damn, this story ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks". But after playing Chris's campaign, I realized something that helped me understand that the game was actually a masterpiece. Resident Evil 6 is Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Chris' campaign revolves around a veteran BOW specialist (Chris) that is isolated until he meets a new recruit (Piers) that he thinks can take up his role. The first few episodes of Madoka Magica revolve around a veteran magical girl (Mami) that is isolated until she meets a new potential magical girl (Madoka) that she thinks can take up her role. Both end with one being killed on a mission after a powerful enemy that they thought had been defeated returns and catches them off guard. This revelation has changed my formerly sour opinion on this game to the belief that it is the greatest work of fiction ever made, because Madoka Magica is the greatest work of fiction ever made.

Pretty good game. For one, you can play as Youmu, which is always a plus in my book. I like the character designs, especially Youmu. The spritework and animations are very nice, like Youmu's swords moving when you start attacking. The story isn't very memorable, but that's might be because I didnt play every character, but I did play as Youmu. I don't play games like this for the story anyway, so that's not a huge gripe. The characters I did play have pretty unique shot types, I like Youmu because she does a lot of damage very quickly at the cost of your fingers. The spell cards are very fun to dodge, except a few of them near the end where you have to timeout, but that's somewhat mitigated from the bombs you'll have leftover if you play as Youmu. The soundtrack is better than the original PCB in my opinion, although I am upset at the loss of Youmu's theme, however this makes sense as she is a playable character instead, and its nice to be able to play as Youmu. Overall, I think youmu should give me danmaku backshots
