Um jogo carismático e injusto que vai simultâneamente te cativar e te deixar com raiva, ao ponto de não querer sair dele mesmo tendo morrido 168 vezes

Overall, Borderlands 3 is a great game. Everything you saw in Borderlands 2 is vastly improved, and I'm having a blast playing through it all. However it does have its downsides which I will enter into detail later.

Small edit: The game is even better with all of its DLCs.

8/10

Spoilers-free section

Pros
  • Gunplay is amazing. From the thousands of guns you can find randomly to Legendary weapons, nothing feels extremely useless.
  • Balance is on point. You won't be seeing hard-to-see numbers on the screen anymore like you did in Borderlands 2. The numbers on damage, money and other stats are way more down to earth and easier to follow on this one.
  • Classes are way more diverse now. Of course, a game will always have meta, but that doesn't take away the fact that you can pick a class and play it a majority of different ways. Initially you can pick from 3 base skills to use with your class (As opposed to a single skill forever like in the previous games), from that point on you can keep investing on that skill with augments and other things.
  • Your character interacts way more with NPCs now during scripted events. Even in coop this happens, and your squad take turns on who is speaking.
  • The soundtrack is just gorgeous. So much that I found myself stopping at random places just to listen more closely.
  • Characters are surprisingly interesting. With the exception of a few who had no character development at all, most classic characters are still funny and interesting, even Claptrap (Although he does feel a bit different). Most new characters are also on par with classic ones.
  • A good chunk of the story is actually great. Even if the story is one of the most criticized point in the game, for a good half or 3/4 of the game the story is actually interesting. It introduces interesting concepts and revisits things that we only have seen in Borderlands 1, expanding it in the process. Logs scattered throughout the maps will also explain events in Borderlands 2 and transitions from 1 to 2 and from 2 to 3.

Cons
  • Characters out of place. Most of the characters are fine, but those that are not will be a huge pain throughout the game. They have no character development at all, you hate them from the beginning and that doesn't change even after you finish the Main Story.
  • The story introduces great concepts and all but it has one major flaw: It doesn't focus on anything! In a lot of occasions you will find interesting concepts or conflicts being teased in the Main Story, just to be completely forgotten in the next 2 Missions in favor of giving space to another concept which will also be forgotten.
  • Even if your character interacts with scripted events a lot, They will not interact with anything in a cutscene, ever!. One of, if not the most impactful moment in Borderlands 2 was one of the pre-rendered cutscenes featuring your character in first person, being part of it all. In Borderlands 3 this is non-existent, only one cutscene is in first person and is utterly pointless. Which bring us to the next point.
  • There's too many pre-rendered cutscenes. In previous games they were rarely used, only major events and introductions had them. In Borderlands 3 every now and then you'll see one which is not for any of those purposes, and in those cutscenes your character will either be missing without explanation or be locked behind a door (also without explanation).

Praises
  • BALEX is the best newcoming character.
  • The thing with the company CEOs was amazing. One of the best concepts I've seen in the game. And one of the best feelings was to find out that not every one of them is evil.
  • Going from planet to planet is also an amazing feeling. Being able to see planets I've only heard about since Borderlands 1 is incredible. I remember hearing Marcus name drop "Eden-6" in Borderlands 1 and saying "I want to go there".
  • Tyreen and Troy are also good villains. They represent a real part of society, online celebrities that have way too much influence on their young/obsessed audience. It speaks of a real problem, specially when said young/obsessed audience can start harassing, making death threats, or anything similar, to a person the online celebrity doesn't agree with.

Rants
  • Typhon DeLeon is a garbage character. He is too much of a goody two-shoes to be the sole reason as to why the Twins are so maniacal. Speaking of goody two-shoes, that's 100% of his character, and he doesn't show any other emotion, even when he finds out you killed his son.
  • The fact they didn't use the internal conflict that was teased between Tyreen and Troy is rage inducing. For a good half of the game I was expecting both to start fighting each other for power and control, specially in the battle against Troy where he uses Tyreen as a power source without her consent. Wasted potential.
  • Speaking of the battle against Troy, the game should've indeed ended there. Because what comes after is incredibly rushed. It was the perfect opportunity to have our characters face off against a 3 phase final boss: Tyreen, The Destroyer and a fusion of both. But no!. Instead we get a half-baked Tyreen-destroyer, who is easier to kill than Troy and just vanishes without last words. Also, you know The Destroyer? The big bad monster from Borderlands 1? He is teased to be way more powerful than we thought and is kinda like a main villain on the 2nd half of the game.... And you only see 1 tentacle of the guy in the final boss intro.
  • Lilith's sacrifice makes nosense. She had a half-baked internal conflict throughout the game, and as soon as she comes into terms with her being the Commander for the Crimson Raiders and regains her powers, she sacrifices herself. And the end was so rushed you can't tell if she's dead or not.
  • The credits music was so out of place and so cringy (given the cutscene right before it) that I immediately skipped. And my friend who I was playing it started to burst into laugh as soon as he heard the first verse.

With a slightly different take from the original story in Resident Evil 2, and a few over-the-shoulder elements, RE2 Remake manages to create a unique feeling of dread and panic. The game turns away from the action entered gameplay as seen in Resident Evil 4, and focuses solely on horror. Gone are the quick time events, unlimited supplies of ammo, and giant hordes of weak zombies following you.

During most of the game (if you haven't got used to it), you'll feel trapped and helpless. With only a few supplies available to you, and limited inventory space, you'll have to think twice before unloading your precious bullets on a zombie that most likely will not die from that run and gun decision.

Easily the most interesting part of the game is Mr. X, who changed from a pack of expendable henchmen to a single, immortal, entity. Mr. X will follow you around the station, with solely objective of finding you. His footsteps are the best way to describe him, as they are loud and often comes from confusing directions, forcing you to sit in a safe room until you think the outside is clear... just to end up face to face with him once you finally leave.

This game made want a Resident Evil 3 remake as well, and if Nemesis is anything like Mr. X I will certainly buy that remake if it ever comes out.

The franchise is back to its original glory (Mainly established in the 3rd game), with the main cast and new and improved mechanics. Without a doubt it is a great point in Hack n' Slash games, with the few issues being more story related.

Pros
  • Great game mechanics. It is simply satisfying to see your combo going from C to SSS as you progress and acquire skills in doing so.
  • The main cast is back and with it Dante's troll personality.
  • Up to 3 characters to play, each with its own mechanics and ability to configure control layouts for each one, making it easier to master all of them on your own way.
  • A bunch of fan service and callbacks to older games.
  • Every cutscene is fun to watch, I never felt like I wanted to skip a single one. And some of them were either hilarious or really emotional.

Cons
  • While the mission pacing is good, the story pacing is not so much. It feels like the story is really short and you can finish the game in a weekend.
  • After you beat the story there isn't much to do besides unlocking things. And the unlockables don't feel like they matter. By the time you beat Dante Must Die every remaining unlockable feels like a chore. And if you don't even care about getting to this difficulty the fun ends rather quickly.
  • Some characters feel wasted in the story. Trish and Lady don't do that much and Morrison has been retconned for some reason.

This game is not perfect, mainly because of it's cheer size and attempts in a variety of different forms of gameplays. But the pros still easily overshadows the cons to the point where you wouldn't notice some of its flaws.

Pros
  • It got the feeling of an AAA game besides it being free.
  • It is a multiplayer online based game, yet iy doesn't blatantly forces you to play with other people for a long while, and even then you can still do things alone at the cost of it taking longer.
  • Even if you paid for something it doesn't matter. You are in the same boat as everyone else and it's unlikely you can be overpowered by simply throwing money at the screen.
  • Developers actually caring for the in-game market flow. Making sure that some changes wouldn't affect it negatively.
  • Daily rewards actually incentives something. Be it an in-game item or a monetary discount, it does feel rewarding.
  • The gameplay will last longer than expected as the game is incredibly vast (However this also has to do with one of the cons).

Cons
  • The game is intimidating for new players, it throws a lot of stuff in your face and leaves you confused half the time. It does have an in-game encyclopedia but it feels more of an excuse to not deepen some of the mechanics during the first stages of the game. Because of this, as a new player, expect to be reading this encyclopedia and the wikia a lot.
  • The gameplay is extended by a small margin due to really repetitive tasks and waiting hours to get something finished.
  • Even if it tries a lot of different gameplays, some of them feel really underworked. Archwing is one of the gameplay sections that sounds good in theory but it's not really fun in practice. Especially when the game forces you to use it in water sections.
