My advice is to disregard all the negative reviews, since I'm almost positive that all of them are from people with PC's that just can't support modern gaming, or they haven't optimized the game properly.

I started the game and it was running 40-60fps on 2k mid to low settings, with DLSS put on performance, which was making the game look so bad, I could barely register what was happening on the screen (this is the same issue worlds had). Figured out this isn't normal, changed the DLSS mode to one which allowed frame generation - enabled frame generation, and voila - 90-110fps. Turned up the settings, changed the DLSS to quality, and am now getting 70-90fps easily with the most gorgeous looking game I've ever seen. The environments, the monsters, the characters - EVERYTHING looks better than what we've ever had in any games so far, at which point I was just baffled how this level of graphical quality could even run at above 60fps so fluidly on my rig.

I have a 3060TI and an AMD 5 5600x processor, so at the current time it would be considered a budget build. So - if you have a decent PC, or even a slightly older one like I do, the game will run extremely well.

As far as the gameplay - it's definitely catered to the more casual players at the start, which I think is honestly a great decision. Veterans of the game shouldn't have a hard time destroying the low rank monsters, so most of the difficulty complaints are unfounded and probably by people who don't think things through. The difficulty obviously starts ramping up the more a new player learns throughout each chapter, and the real challenge, just like in every other Monster Hunter game only begins once you beat the campaign and start going for the last few monsters.
We also got tons of quality of life upgrades and the game doesn't have tedious systems to deal with anymore (I guess some people could find farming for gear tedious, but to me it's the best aspect of the game), and the entire flow of hunting feels so natural and fluid.

Anyway, I'm still enjoying my time thoroughly and will probably be spending thousands of hours in the game, so I just felt the need to clarify the situation, since I almost didn't buy the game because I believed the people calling it poorly optimized. It's actually optimized pretty well considering what you get to experience and see, especially since there's games like Dragon Age Veilguard that barely run at 60fps on my PC on medium graphics, while looking like the most soulless bland graphical experience ever (I didn't buy the game and tried it for 30min just to show a friend what horrid evil slipped through the cracks of gaming), Elden Ring which is my favorite game ever, but dips below 60fps on high 2k graphics on my system, or basically any game released in the past 5-10 years - this runs better if you look at it proportionally to what quality of graphics you're getting.

10/10, sadly some wokeness seeped through probably by the devs thinking that the western propaganda would help them make sales, since they're not aware 99% of people are against it and all the woke games were horrid financial failures, but it's fine, even with a few woke inserts, Japan is still doing it's thing in making other characters cool looking and straight up savage.
