This was a huge slog to get through. Some of the worst level design I've ever experienced, a mid ass story that misses the point of why Fromsoft's Souls games have such dreary atmosphere, and extremely repetitive enemy encounters. If you fought it as a boss, generally just expect to keep seeing it a lot more throughout the game. The only things I can say I like about this would be that the combat itself does generally feel well polished, the magic and ranged weapon systems are interesting, and the aesthetic does actually hit sometimes. Its just not enough. I'd only ever recommend this if you are just extremely desperate for a new Souls-like and have zero other options.

Fun little game, it's really satisfying seeing your power quickly snowball, trying to race the clock destroying everything in sight. Definitely worth a try!

Neat puzzle game with tons and tons of depth, definitely worth a try if it at all interests you. You'll likely know by the end of the tutorial whether or not the game will be for you.

If you're coming to this looking for something that's closer to the realistic side like the previous games, this ain't it. If you're looking for a solid arcade racer with satisfying physics and a career mode that's pretty good for a modern racing game, this is something to consider whenever it goes on sale. The progression feels like a good middle-ground between FH5 and Forza Motorsport. You won't just be handed hundreds of cars, you have to make a little effort to get what you want, and while it's easy to upgrade them, you do have to choose wisely *what* you want to improve to get an edge on harder difficulties. Also, best of all, it's not a live service game! The only FOMO you could feasibly worry about here are the Daily, Weekly, and Monthly time trial races (Rivals) what's here is here, and will always be here. It's very nice being able to just slowly chip away at this game and not have to worry about tracks going missing and things like that. If this ever goes on sale for $30 or below, I recommend this for a chill arcade racing experience.

Cannot recommend this game enough, probably my favorite game this year and it's got experiences I'll remember for quite awhile. If you want something that just has perfect vibes and a great world to explore, this is your game. The Accursed Tomb is one of my favorite locations in a game, ever.

One of my favorite games this year. Loot shooter roguelite with very fun progression elements and is very pretty to look at! For people like me who normally stay away from roguelikes, the penalty for dying isn't harsh enough to scare me away and just encourages me to continue pushing forward, unlike most games in this genre. The movement feels great, the shooting feels great, the weapon variety is quite impressive, and the levels and puzzles are so varied you never know what'll be around the corner. Absolutely love this game, highly recommend giving it a try if it sparks your interest even a little bit.

Great souls-ish type game, on the easier side for that kind of game which is a positive to me. Has a fairly interesting story with lots of good lore and worldbuilding, told in a much more direct way compared to the usual in its genre. My main annoyance with the game is a trend taking hold of gaming in general lately, boring rewards for exploration (it's pretty much always just upgrade materials since they give you all the weapons at the very beginning of the game and have a leveling system to acquire skills from) so I don't really hold it against the game too much. It's also a lot longer than I was expecting, and I didn't really find that to be in its favor, the second half of the game doesn't add much to mix things up gameplay-wise and will probably be purely running on how much you enjoy the story at that point. Overall though, I enjoyed my time with the game and am excited for the expansion and whatever else comes out of this studio in the future.

It's a neat little wave based hack and slash game, the combat is pretty enjoyable, feels very Platinum Games inspired, easy to use abilities, dodging that gives you slow-mo, stuff like that. Feels like a fun game to play while you're watching a tv show or something like that and just want to keep your hands busy. Definitely worth giving a shot even if you can't read Japanese at all, as you don't really need to be able to read to enjoy this.

Early Access Review
Fairly odd and unique RPG that vaguely reminds me of the Way Of The Samurai games in terms of its format. You're going around talking to people and doing quests to get items to do other quests to eventually advance your main objective, and this will require you exploring, solving puzzles, and fighting enemies on multiple decently sized maps that you'll be travelling between. It's been pretty fun for me in its current state, and I think its definitely worth trying out its demo, if you can tolerate what is currently a very barebones english translation. I'm very excited to see where this goes.

Loved every second of it up until the ending, which was very disappointing. As long as you go in to get really into fun gameplay that encourages experimentation, and not a story that resolves itself particularly well at the end, I think you'll have a good time.
