Literally the only true sandbox game out there, there's a few games that are kinda similar but not really. If you are looking for a legitimate sandbox experience nothing else out there is like Wurm.

I just wanted to add that a lot of the negative reviews are a lot of ex players who were banned and are just pissed off at Wurm in general. There's even negative reviews of people who are actively addicted to Wurm but don't want to recommend it because they are addicted and they think that somehow being hopeless addicted to a game is a bad thing.

This is one of the very few MMO's out there that offers amazing transparency on statistics and there's a handy page here http://jenn001.game.wurmonline.com/mrtg/weeklylogins.html that will show you unique logins to Wurm Online and as you can see the Steam launch brought player counts from 5k a year up to 28k and as of today (3 weeks after steam launch) it's down to 15k unique logins. So even though there's 15k people still logging in there's only 780 reviews on Steam and about 40% are negative so that's only like 300 unhappy people compared to the 15k still logging in daily.

Also that's 15k unique IP's, it doesn't track alts unless your using a seperate IP for each alt.

I've been playing this game for 3 years since before it launched on Steam so ignore my hours. This game will be incredibly frustrating or rewarding depending on how you play and what kind of community you join. This game essentially simulates society and whether or not the members of your server cooperate or not will determine how much fun you end up having.

Update 2024. Well v10 came out and we now have boats and settlements, it's been an interesting launch by my previous review is still 100% applicable, this game looks like some sort of Minecraft style survival crafting game but it's more like a pvp game since you will be directly competiting with others that choose the same skills as you and you need calories to continue working and you could end up being priced out of your own market which basically forces you to quit that server, aka what I call player death here.

If you look at this game like you'd look at a game like Fortnite or Rust you'll enjoy yourself more and might actually stick around as long as I have. I just love the drama.

This is what happens when the zombie survival genre gets out of control, a gem like this emerges, even though there are so many things that are either odd or just plain wrong.

First let's start with the name....or should we say the names initials. Judgment, not to be confused with Judgement, is considered an Apocolypse Survival Simulator, or and ASS for short....which is a new type of genre that is desperately trying to state it's not a zombie survival game that it's literally made a joke out of it's name. Although a lot more amusing then the joke name that was War Z....

The graphics are...well...less the desirable in my mind at least, they do the job but aren't terribly pleasing to the eyes. The sound can be muted entirely as well, I play with all sound replaced by Spotify because why not.

You may be thinking then, well then what's so good about Judgment: ASS? Well, this game is this weird hybrid survival, real time strategy, and base defense. It kinda reminds me of what an older game called Sanctum tried to accomplish with a hybridization, but I feel that Judgment has implemented their shmozzle of a game into something that is legitimately fun.

It reminds me a lot of Banished in a way, just with a much more simplified system but just with much more depth to it instead of complexity. Judgment doesn't rely on complex crafting chains that exist in games like Tropico, it combines basic tower defense with basic management features, adds in an rpg style progression feature similar to a simplified version of what exists in the new Xcom's.

Imagine a mix between Banished and Xcom (real time strategy instead with a pause feature) and then add in a little Sims for good measure. Interesting concept implemented competantly, I'd highly recommend for fans of the genres.

I played GOIOnline a long time ago and was sold on the idea of adventure mode (Alliance), I enjoyed the core gameplay of GOIO but the pvp got repetitive. As I've grown older I find my desire to pvp has faded while the strategy elements of Alliance combined with the pve boss battles really fits what I'm looking for atm.

This game has the potential to be very addicting, and what's crazy is they bundle both games into one...it's like basically buying the original game plus a huge DLC in a bundle. I can only wish there was some way to combine the two games even further by making the pvp affect the pve campaign.

I seen very good things for the future of this game when I first purchased it and I am still satisfied with what it's turned out to be now that it's finally out.

Let me first start off by stating that I think Diablo 3 is much better than Path of Exile...I know, I'm sure a lot of you will call me a nub just for that statement but I don't play ARPG's so that I have to search online for guides on how to play, I want to just enjoy myself while I mow down tons of mobs. This is why I loved Diablo 1 and 2 so much, they were simple. I also enjoyed both Torchlights but they couldn't hold a candle to the amount of hours I've put into the original Diablo and Diablo 2. I didn't play Diablo 3 for very long purely because the end game is a one trick pony but I did enjoy how they kept builds simplified and focused them around gear instead of making a giant atlas of skill points that would confuse even Hawking on first glance...

I started playing this game in 2014, I thought it was terrible, tried it again in 2015, felt it was still dull and some of the end game mechanics just didn't feel intuitive at all. I then put a fair amount of time into it about 6 months ago, the game felt more vibrant but I still felt the end game mechanics were odd. The idea of having 8 bajillion classes and then having 8 bajillion different builds with like 90% of them not being too great for each class seemed far too overcomplicated for me.

I just picked the game up on Steam because I was told the new update simplified a lot of that end game bs that existed before making the game far more intuitive and I'm incredibly impressed so far. Now that Diablo 3 and Destiny are stagnating, MU Legend is boring and Lost ARK isn't out yet in NA Marvel Heroes has become a great alternative to the core ARPG fans looking for a game that isn't nuts like POE.

This review is entirely based on survival mode.

Survival mode is challenging but it feels almost like a rogue-lite. To survive you need to know that you can move items to and from your ship without finding it yet so going out on a suicide run to get supplies, store at ship then die is a good tactic. Get a piece of scrap paper and map out where the caves are between the shelter and the ship, it'll help you out huge.

I'll add more tips later as I figure them out but in all honesty this is a beautiful game, survival mode is a real challenge, you really need to think about what your doing and plan what to do. I haven't made it off my first planet yet but I've been told even when I do the challenge doesn't end, pirates will try to kill me in space and I'll always be running out of resources.

This game reminds me of Don't Starve or 7 Days to Die in a way, the theme is different but the core concept is exactly the same. The challenge is real as well and a lot of the negative reviews about survival being too hard remind me of the reviews about Dark Souls being too hard.

Game was meh before the One Tamriel update, now it really feels like an Elder Scrolls game. The crafting...it's going to make me have a stroke....

It's a very interesting game, first 5-10 hours will be fun, but after that the game can feel very repetitive. Once you understand how th plort market works making money because easy but incredibly tedious. In it's current state it's definitely worth $10-$15, at $20 it's an ok buy though. I haven't played the Science Lab yet though so I'm hoping that this new patch adds a lot more playability.

So do I recommend buying this game? Absolutely, do I recommend buying this game now instead of just waiting for more content? That's the real question here and difficult to answer. It really depends on how much you pay for it because it's quite a niche game.
