Update 9/3/25,
Well its been about 6 months and it looks like there is about 0% chance that this game will ever be anything decent.

On release,
This game is looking like a really trash survival game with little to nothing to do with Runescape. I was charitable at first. However, after seeing the "Roadmap" i'll pull no punches. So many opportunities missed. I could go on for hours about how to integrate Runescape into a suvival MMOish experience. The game should have launched with no less than 50 enemy types, a slayer skill, and combat skills. Until i see better. This is a shameless cashgrab with Runescape on the box.

Wow. This game was an extraction shooter at one time. It was called Starseige Deadzone. It was actually great but it never made it off the ground. Then years later i see a notification in my library that a game called Deadzone Rouge is in my library and ready to download. I never bought this game but i did buy the founders pack of Starseige Deadzone. Seems i got a free key since Starseige died. I'm giving a positive review for the integrity alone.

This game see its peak player count at 10am est and hits its lowest at 7pm est. You will play with 95% Chinese players. I'll let you decide how many of them are cheating or if the lag compensation methods used do not favor them heavily.

Put a chick in it and make it ghey. Way to go. Lead your "New Game" with a girlboss trailer... Just kill me.

Waiting patiently for Ultrawide support. Praying with both hands on my ♥♥♥♥ for 32:9.

Most Under Rated ARPG.

Modern tropes in the first hour of gameplay turned me off. I wasn't banking on the narrative or writing but if its going to be actively annoying i see no reason i should just play Elden Ring or even the original Remnant. I feel like the maximum age games are written for is about 18-20 years and usually targeting a crowd around 13. That itself is not the problem. 50 is the new 30 and 30 is the new 85 i guess.

Havent had this much fun in a shooter since Halo 2. Monetization is the least aggressive i've ever seen. If you are any good at shooters you and your boys will make it out with heaps of loot and a good time.

(Pre-release review) More of a shameless rip off of Dragon Age and Divinity (obviously) than a Baldur's Gate game. Like a dating simulator with a divinity feel that is poking around the 5e ruleset. The interactions are hollow and awkward.

The Negative-

I get it you want to do it all. I'm fine with that. I still don't appreciate the forced plot-line. Also, i'm not a fan of how every character has some default theatrical tone to them when they speak. Almost as if they are in a Broadway play. Pretty immersion breaking. The time spent making the romance so "Complete" could have been probably spent making an engaging plot-line and believable characters. At least i can have my Chad with a vulva get 1d8 by a Futa tradwife.

But hey thats like my opinion man.

The positive-

Clearly a lot of money and time has been spent to make this game look and play as well as anyone could ask it to. The cut-scenes are impressive for the type of game that it is. Could be a blast to play with some friends. Overall a great game and i shouldn't have judged it as harshly during EA.
