If you have not played it, play it. Plain and simple.

Edit: Since writing this I've gotten all the achievements, and I have to say. The only bad thing in this game is that you cannot skip the credits. That is the only complaint I have. The design, art, music, story, secrets, abilities, bosses, characters, all of it. It's. so. damn. good. I have killed all but one of the bosses hitless (Edit 2: I now have killed every boss hitless. Feelings are the same.). Literally everything in this game is great. It was my first metroidvania, and I'm now enamored with the genre.

If you have never played a metroidvania, play this. If you have played a metroidvania, but haven't played this, play this. If you have played this, but haven't finished this, play this. If you have finished this, but you haven't done everything, play this.

The moment when you have completed everything, slain everything, found everything, done everything. It's a sublime satisfaction that knows no equal.

TL;DR: Play this.
