This game is actually better than Grand Theft Auto V, unless you have a low IQ. Downgrade this Complete Edition to a previous version to get multiplayer and removed audio tracks placed back in. Keep an eye out for the upcoming RevIVe mod, which will improve the game tremendously with many bug fixes and improved optimization. iCEnhancer 4 is also in development.

I didn't give it a negative score because of music being removed, idiot. That is easily fixed with a downgrader.

@GTA 5 Fanboy Below - I have hundreds of hours each in GTA 2, GTA 3, Vice City, San Andreas, GTA IV, GTA V, and GTA Online. Going back from before you were born to today I have owned multiple copies of each of these games from consoles to PC, on and off Steam, physical and digital.

It's not better than 5, and you'll never be able to get rid of all of the gamebreaking bugs I see you're on 10.8 hrs maybe you already found that out for yourself.

I followed that guide step by step and I still can't get the game to even run. It opens normally and then closes without no error message.

Honestly, it's either I keep finding an actual working fix or give up and move on from this.

This sealed it for me. I tried many fixes and still can't get the game to even run. This is sad to see a classic GTA game already become unplayable.

It probably would be worthwhile to just pira...I mean download the Episodes from Liberty City online if you want to have the downgraded versions of those. You already own them anyway.
