One of the best single players I have played. And I hate single player shooters.

Story was good until the ending, I felt like I wasted so many hours being excited for what I could find out.. and it was kind've embarrassing.. PVP is a nightmare and is more of an annoyance as Julianna. Hit registration is awful, the radar thing is awful, you can't plan traps or anything as the game tells you to. It's more fun to PVP as Colt and mess with Juliannas. On upaam or whatever its called you can just rush Julianna before she spawns and knife her right off the bat.

Again, PVP is trash, only way this game will live is if you fix it.

All I wanted was CO-OP campaign... but I'll let it slide because the game is just that good.

Edit: My hype and nostalgia wore off. The change from warband to bannerlord is fantastic. Just needs to be finished. Looking forward to changing this to a positive review once they show for their 8 years of development.

There is literally no progression after you make a kingdom. Major content missing and the campaign ai is severely unbalanced. Multiplayer is a blast though factions need balance though. Gonna keep playing!

Campaign is fantastic. But it will end.

Multiplayer is continuous. But they took away slayer vs slayer combat and gave us a slayer vs 2 demons with powers.

The mode is cool, but its not when one demon can be a coward and runs and hides while your hp is dwindled away. Yes, he's playing the game right but I'm looking for a different style of multiplayer. What happened to slaver vs slayer? I refunded, will buy again if they add a pvp to my liking.

Since the first Half-Life, Valve has always been ahead of the curve in new ideas and brilliant mechanics. At the time of their release, the competition of other companies and game developers never offer the polish and uniqueness of Valve games.

With Half-Life: Alyx, the first thing I noticed was just the flow of the controls and the physics. Almost zero hand clipping. Alyx's hands run along the edges of surfaces in a logical manner. Its amazing all the small details Valve adds to their games. Loading screen? It will ping when it is done loading. The game is lathered with small quality of life and polish improvements that you don't see anywhere else.

About halfway through the game, the combat started getting a tad repetitive and I wanted the story to progress a little faster. But man oh man.. once you hit the distillery the game's quality and ideas really started to shine. I was so hooked at that point. And the fear! It put you in a situation that you grew a bit of fear, that was amazing!

From the distillery on, I was so hooked and amazed by all the new mechanics and the curve the story took. It's so hard to not write any spoilers.. the ending gave me chills.

Its lame that not everyone can experience this game as it is VR, but I don't think it is possible to make a Half Life game as good as Alyx. The future of Half Life would be bland without VR now. It was totally worth getting the index.

Valve has really outdone themselves this time.

Worst FPS combat known to man. Atmosphere is really nuts and unsettling.

Your crosshair is towards the bottom of your screen, by the way. Who does that?

I have never played a game that was so peaceful. Thank you.

I think $3 is the proper price for this. Really neat relaxing game. I haven't passed my 2 hour threshold, but I won't refund this one, original content like this is really refreshing. Thanks for the experience.

For reference, I went many games with a KDR of 2.0-3.0.

I Bought it for the Versus, refunded for the extremely exploitable movement. This game punishes raw aim with the use of RNG and favors abusing cover movement and shotguns. Keeps the game fast but it won't hold a player base if people are only using shotguns and abusing cover animations. It becomes whoever can out dodge the other, there's skill to it, but its at a really low ceiling.

The timed reloads is really awesome, though. More games need stuff like that.

As much as I want to play the single player, I will not pay $60 for it and a soon to die multiplayer. The game released 3 days ago and it has a player count of 6,000. I give it 1 month before it kaputs, refund before its too late. If you try to hold out, Good luck!

I used to play Toribash many years ago close it it's inception. I watched in tournaments as some of the best players in the world ripped each other to pieces with ease.




I am terrified to open this game and see how good people are now.
