Honestly its effin' great!
Combat is fun and engaging. You /can/ build as much as you want, but you don't /have to/. You can recruit companions, and each specie has something special to offer, and then there's extra special bonus traits when you're hatching eggs.

Mechanically speaking, it isn't anything revolutionary - most of this stuff you saw elsewhere in other games, however - its very nicely put together here in this one, AND the perspective/theme makes all the difference. Its quite remarkable to glide around jumping from the top of your Great Tree, spot "Giant's Artifacts" (everyday objects) and just admire the sheer size. Its fun to crawl in the sewer pipes, navigate the world and find your way over large obstacles, and basically just cycle between exploration, combat, looting, crafting and upgrading and then all over again.

I got it on very good special, but IMO - even just 15-20% off the base price is more than great value for your money.
