It's one of the best platformers made. There are a ton of surprises in this game. Please go in without much knowledge.
There is a thing that changes how the game is played around the halfway point of the game. A playthrough is about 10 hours which is pretty damn good length.

Smart writing and a really good soundtrack are huge bonuses.

This was a neat little boss rush game. It plays a little like classic Zeldas with a focus on combat. There's a risk reward mechanic with dealing ranged attacks; in order to get more ammo, you must get a good melee strike in.

Loved the little puzzles thrown in.

Legitimately really fun. I did not like the premise and I do not like deck building games. This is not exactly a deck building game because you don't necessarily build decks. You're given cards and you hope you can maximize point generation with those cards. The pool of these cards is incredibly vast so it's fairly hard to plan ahead. For that reason, I don't think I could get upset that someone could know more of what's going on. It's genuinely fun to see how far you can get with what you've been dealt.

It's been satisfying to lose at this game as you get to see your little economy engine flourish by seeing all the bird effects chain together. And just because you think the game is going one way doesn't mean it will end in the same. My wife and I have had lopsided games where the other has pulled in front at the end. The premise of building birds really grew on me too because of the relaxing aesthetic that came with it.

I've owned this game and haven't given it a shot until recently, glad I did. My wife and I own the physical board game of this as well.

It's a cutsey Dark Souls type game that does not tell you where to go. It reminds me of when I tried to play Japanese imports on the N64, trying to decipher what to do next without trying to read.

It's a lot of fun. Killing Nazis feels great.

There are pretty fun stealth mechanics and brutal executions you can do while sneaking or not.

It's a cute little RPG that plays like classic Zelda and has a funky story like Earthbound.

Check it out!

It's a fun game with great action set pieces. The voice acting is kind of ♥♥♥♥♥♥. And some of the animations are stiff.

Good and short little casual game to play otherwise.

Hollow Knight is probably the best Metroidvania out there. The amount of content per dollar is pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ high and that content isn't ♥♥♥♥. There's 40+ bosses in the base game.

First time I played it, I couldn't get too into it because of the open world design like the Dark Souls series. You can pretty much end up in an endgame area if you want. I was playing blind and ended up trying to get through the Fog Canyon. IMO look up a quick progression guide and work from there, I didn't really put it down afterwards.

If you're interested in souls like games or metroidvanias, this game is EASILY worth your money without a sale.

It is REALLY damn tough though.

I'm torn on this one.
This port is atrocious, after all these years it is still bad.
With a beefier machine than what was out at the time, it's still bad.
Even with the game itself which heavily uses the batmobile so much it may as well be a main character.
It's the best game in the series in terms of gameplay, story, and visuals.

I'm forced to use a mod to run the game smooth enough to even play it. And every now and then the game crashes occasionally when I die because of the mod. Without the mod, traversing the world ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ blows.

I've played and nearly 100% this game on the XBONE and I'm probably going to do the same on PC. So I know that this game was properly optimized for consoles and that its supposed to run and look really damn good.

In terms of the gameplay, it's got the most variance and I think that makes this game the best in the series. While I don't exactly hate the batmobile gameplay, I believe the vehicular combat is pretty boring and non engaging. It's not terrible, it's just not the best. The real problem is that you're forced to use the batmobile so much. I'd wager it's about 20-30% of the game and because of how I feel about it, it feels like 30%-40% of the game is dedicated to the batmobile. The foot combat is just as stellar as the rest in the series, Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, and Shadows of Mordor.

There are some great little puzzles in this one just like the other two Arkham games that I've played. Lots of little easter eggs that I'm loving to see as a fan.

I didn't really like the gameplay loop in this one. In the beginning, you're pretty much going to be meleeing other melee cavemen. There is no parry system and so you're basically tanking hits and healing through them.

Eventually you get different bows and clubs but it doesn't really add much. The upgrade/progression systems in place are pretty satisfying, leading you to hunt rare animals, etc.

Story was my least favorite in the series but the setting made it worthwhile and unique in my opinion.
