After 4.6 hours of playing, Cities: Skylines II has met my expectations, that I've formed by watching many hours of pre-release gameplay content.

While it’s not as feature-rich as Cities: Skylines (1) with all its DLCs and mods, it’s understandable given it has just been released on a tight schedule. There are reports of game crashes and bugs and the performance issues are already well known. However, on my hardware (Ryzen 5 7600, RX 7700 XT, 32GB DDR5-6000), the game runs with perfectly playable frame-rates and no major bugs - only minor graphic glitches and the occasional car shaking in traffic.

The game is as enjoyable as the original vanilla Cities: Skylines(1), perhaps even more so. I’m hopeful that the issues will be resolved soon and I am looking forward to what future expansions will bring to this game.
