If the lack of multiplayer doesn't discourage you, No Man's Sky is worth playing (particularly if you manage to snag it while its on sale).

The developers continue to update and add content even well after release, with significant improvements and expansion of the game with every major patch.

Be warned that there are some known issues with older GPUs, particularly AMD ones. They're usually fixable after tweaking the settings files with a text editor, but figuring it out can be a frustrating experience. If in doubt, the users on the steam forums are (usually) helpful, so it may be worth asking there if anyone with your particular GPU had any problems (and managed to fix 'em) before buying.
