You open the map and you are not bombarded with ? or ! side quests
If you play this game as a straight up linear story; it is great!

for of a simulator where you can torment your followers which is fun but I wish the game play was not so repetitive
the game feels like the dungeon in persona 3 where all the good stuff is everything that isn't the gameplay

I always liked to think of Adam Smasher as being the Chosen One of the Cyberpunk universe; he's blessed by the higher powers of the world one day after a freak accident and ascends into the setting's perfect specimen, completely beyond any of the ♥♥♥♥ that the rest of the characters have to deal with. He is the only person in the entire setting that is just completely unaffected by cyber-psychosis in any form, he's set for life financially, he ♥♥♥♥♥ pretty women and he gets to do what he wants 24/7.

The fact that he's a sadistic, misanthropic piece of ♥♥♥♥ only supports this idea; his beliefs that humanity is on its way out and that he is the future isn't delusional as much as it's just a sad reality of the setting he's in. He is meant to represent everything terrible about Cyberpunk as a world; a world where people will rip themselves apart, turn themselves into killers and play lapdog to a company that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hates them as long as their inner hedonist gets off a bit in the end.

I'm a big fan of luminous avenger ix 1 and this game plays nothing like that
they added a context sensitive attack button so its either ranged or not depending; which makes combat feel clunky at best and frustrating at worst

not sure why the re-invented the wheel
would have liked a regular sequel with new powers

Amazing game! I think this is a great start point for non souls fans looking for an action RPG. Due to the fact that if you're stuck you can just... go elsewhere or just explore and gain levels. you don't need to bash your head on the same boss

I skipping kiwami 1 cause kiwami 2 was so good

Terrible Immersive sim

Buy if you want a 1 v 1 multiplayer experience otherwise the levels are bland and boring with alot of backtracking

edit: I've grown to like it more as I play as the multiplayer is actually really fun in a "grief" mode kind of way,
