For a while, I wasn't enjoying gaming anymore, but I was trying to play from time to time to see if I would enjoy that hobby again soon or not. I was playing only killer since I wasn't feeling ready for solo survivor queue. I was having a bit of fun, but not enough to push me to play the game a lot. Then came the 2v8 mode of November 2024. The quick matchmaking for survivors and the lack of any required level made me try the "other side". I was having such a blast that I took the time to do all the challenges for the event and it made me hooked to the normal tome's challenges. I ended up doubling my time on the game in two weeks (from around 30h to 60h) and having a lot of fun. I am sad to see the event has ended now, but I managed to reach lvl 70 in the rift and I am now considering playing just because I am having a good time with it !

The variety in terms of killers and survivors is quite an accomplishment and the fact that it is multiplayer makes a session quite different from the others. It is always satisfying to accomplish a challenge, do a 3/4k as killer or an escape as survivor. The reward system makes it that even a bad match can be rewarding (even more during bloodpoints rate bonuses). And for those who are afraid it is too scary, it plays more like an action cat and mouse game than a horror game, at least for me.

All in all, thanks Dead by Daylight for bringing me back into gaming ! I can wholeheartedly recommend that game.

I have been playing this game with two other friends, using Discord's voice chat and it has been a blast so far ! I feel like the direction taken with ENDLESS Dungeon is the right one. It would have been a mistake to make a carbon copy of Dungeon of the Endless, that in the end I didn't play much. I am having a much better experience with this new release.

I have only managed to do a few runs, given the fact that they lasted between 1h and 1h30 each, spread in two sessions. So be aware that you will probably need to find around 2h, if you plan on reaching the last area for the first time. However, for my pace it was very enjoyable that way. Things are diversed enough to feel fresh and even the areas already visited are pleasant to play again. We managed to beat the first boss we focused on and it was exciting to dodge the team's death a few times on normal difficulty. I think the difficulty looks fair while playing 3 players coop.

The art direction is really good, character and world designs are varied. The characters are very different with their own sets of skills and weapon specializations. We already found a nice balance with our team and having fun mastering our favorite heroes. However I still have a few to unlock, as well as new areas. In 6h of play time I have barely touched the surface on what the game has to offer. Moreover, there is a bunch of lore about the ENDLESS universe that may appeal to people familiar with the franchise.

At the time of writing this review, the game seems to have some important bugs. It seems some quests aren't working, so I can't unlock some character perks and the friends who were playing with me didn't unlock the achievements I got during the release day. Be aware that the developers are very reactive and seem invested in taking care of the issues. I have read that some people can't launch the game, but for my friends and I, it was smooth. One friend only got one crash during the early access time and that was all the issues about stability that we experienced.

In a nutshell, if you enjoy the ENDLESS universe and having fun with friends during medium length sessions, with thoughtful planning and dynamic combat, I would say this game is a good choice. Even better: it is a roguelite, so if you are a completionist, it will keep you busy for a long time and will make you excited to unlock things for sure !

I am not the usual Sonic games player, but when I saw the good reviews, the open world tag and that it alternates 2D and 3D levels, I was sold. I am very happy I got this game. It looks like it is a great entry into the Sonic world for newcomers.

I managed to 100% achievements in around 25 hours, it was starting to feel grindy in the Chaos Island, but I think it is just that this level was the weakest in terms of design in the game. When I reached Ouranos Island, it was fun again and I had a good time finishing it in a few sittings after dropping the game for a few months.

The story of the game is pleasant, I enjoyed discovering the things behind the world bit by bit. It is nothing groundbreaking, but you kinda want to know what happened to those-who-built-everything.

Gameplay itself is fun and with a skill you can just bypass the whole combo and tricks part by making it automatic (though your hits will be weaker), so you can choose how laid back you want to play.

The music is fantastic, I often listen to a few tracks outside of the game. The boss tracks are outstanding and very enjoyable.

Overall, it was a rewarding and pleasant experience and it ended just when I was starting to feel I had enough of it. In the end, one less game in my backlog and I can say that it is a strong member of my game library.

Wow, when I bought this game, I wasn't sure what I was getting into. I love the original game of the Life is Strange series as well as Before the Storm and all I read about 2 is that it is the weakest entry. Because of that, I never bought it, fearing of being disappointed. However, catching up on games during the last Steam Winter Sale, I told myself: let's try that one, there aren't much games like that ! Oh boy I did well getting it ! Here is why:

The story was very impactful for me, since my family has a story with immigration, I could relate with how the father wanted the best for his kids and how they were doing their best to suit in society. Moreover, on this subject and a few others surrounding it (how some communities are treated for example), I found the game very interesting and thoughtful. I appreciated how I could shape Daniel's way of growing up, while being thrown both the worst and the best that life can offer. I also appreciated the small hints about the first game with the choice I made. I felt the story was quite consistent and for me Daniel was not as annoying as I thought he would be according to the reviews. The ending had a bittersweet feeling to it, but I really liked it and felt like it was pretty accurate.

In addition, I was really surprised about how long the game took me to finish it. 22 hours for finishing the story while getting all the different objects for 100% achievements. That is pretty long for a narrative game and I can say I enjoyed it all the way through !

Graphically and technically I have nothing bad to say. I played in 4K ultra settings, it was beautiful and without any bugs in the gameplay or the graphics. The interactions were well made, I liked how the game included the fact that you are accompanying two characters in their journey, making them interact.

All in all, Sean and Daniel's journey was very entertaining and full of emotions and I totally recommend it. I am very excited to see what DONTNOD will make next.

Blue Reflection is about a girl helping people go through their struggles and issues while saving everything along the way. You fight alongside two other characters most of the time, with some outside help for bosses, but the lack of variety doesn't feel bad, on the contrary, you get more and more attached to them and want to understand what is happening to everyone. Yes, there is some fan service and camera views below the skirts or during intimate moments will get old pretty quickly, but it makes you really feel like you are part of their daily life, even though it wasn't necessary.

The story is all about friendship and making bonds, I want to insist: they become deeply friends, not lovers, despite what some people want to believe. It is more cute than anything else.

I started playing at hardest difficulty because of what people were saying about how easy it is, but in the end I lowered the difficulty and had a much better time that way, because for me it was more about the story, like following a visual novel, than a combat game and I didn't want to struggle too much in this game. Though if you want to struggle, doing everything at hardest difficulty should be fine.

The DLC content didn't feel really necessary, I just had fun changing the clothes for some time, but in the end the school uniform was the best for story consistency. So it is more about having some extra stuff and supporting such games.

Beware if you are doing achievement hunting: check all the question marks before reporting activity and if you did everything and didn't see a quest appear, that is probably because it will be in the next free time segment. Point of no return happens at chapter 11 when you will get the ultimate level up, at that point only unmissable story triggers should remain. For crafting don't hesitate to farm some monsters in the Common regularly and you should be fine.
In the end I loved the slice of life stories, going after all there was to do and had a very good time doing the 100% in around 30h. If you are in need of a heartwarming Persona-like game, this one is a safe purchase. I am excited to see what they did with the second game, Second Light !

I bought this game as soon as it went on sale and without checking too much information about the game's story, just enough to know if I would probably enjoy it or not. Now that I have finished my first playthrough, I can say I enjoyed the game a lot, though it is a bit frustrating to see a cliffhanger, since I was expecting a completely finite story. I suppose if the game sells well, there could be a sequel building over that plot, which I would be excited for.

It is a narrative game focusing on choices, so it is crucial to have meaningful and engaging choices and the game does deliver very well on that point. I truely felt like things would have gone a totally different way if I had chosen even an action that didn't seem that important at first sight. When I reached the summary of how all the charcters ended, I realized how varied the story can be, which is, in my opinion, the main reason you should be interested in that game.
By the way, between all the choices, there are a few QTEs to do and except for one that needed to be pretty quick, they aren't painful to do and generate excitement that makes you more involved in the story, so that is also a plus.
I was afraid that the graphics wouldn't let me immerse myself fully, but I was surprised to see how quick you get used to it and to end up loving the style.

In a few words: good story, meaningful choices, QTEs that aren't annoying, unusual yet pretty graphics.
If you enjoy narrative games, I do recommend you to try that one, it is solid and I am sure you will enjoy it. My gaming backlog tells me otherwise, but I am tempted to try all the outcomes to see all the situations. It seems to get a -50% discount already, so at that price it is totally worth it !

Telling Lies is an okay game, not extraordinary, but not utterly bad either. I think out of the other games by Sam Barlow, it is the less good entry. My favourite being Immortality, that made me want to try that one.
I would say that everything about the game is "okay". I guessed most of the plot pretty quickly (the game took me around 3h, I expected more, maybe I was watching the video clips too fast) and got a bit annoyed by the achievements that made me restart the whole game because I had missed the 3 previous hours achievements. By the way for 100% completion and true ending I used a guide because I didn't want to search for hours the video clips I was missing.
So before you start playing: when you reach an hour threshold (1 am, 2 am, etc...), be sure to wait for a bit after a little scene appears, maybe click on stuff and write down some of your findings and then the achievement should be unlocked. If you play too quickly, it won't have enough time to unlock and you will basically have to start a new playthrough. That made me rush the beginning of the game and my notes, so it affected my enjoyment of the game. Also the ending achievements only unlock after the credits, so be patient.
Other than that I liked the game and don't really understand the very poor Steam reviews it is getting (moreover the metacritic score is pretty good). I would say, if you like guessing a story exploring its various pieces, like a puzzle, definitely give that game a try, but know that Her Story and Immortality are way better. Anyway, this gets a thumbs up from me and I am definitely keeping an eye on Sam Barlow for his next games.

Beware, this game is meant for a mature audience, not for kids, I have to insist on that. Even for adults, some events (that are spoilers) can be very disturbing.
However, I really enjoyed discovering what happened to Marissa Marcel (which took me around 6 hours) and her colleagues, what the three movies are about and the work around them. You can very quickly discover what she became, but most of the interest of the game is to discover the full story and every details around it. To do such a thing, the game needs from yourself serious dedication.
It took me 6.5 more hours to get all the footage and secrets hidden in the game using a listing of the footage and watching a video collecting everything to find which object to search to unlock new footage. In the end the game basically becomes a content hunting game as you have a general idea of what happened and just jump from video to video.
I enjoyed my time with it a lot, though after going through tons of footage I was starting to be tired at the end. So it isn't very long, but I think it is a good thing, otherwise it would have been exhausting.
In a nutshell, if you want a disturbing well made story with good acting, it certainly is a game you would want in your Steam library.

Corpse Factory is clearly a visual novel that isn't for everybody, but I enjoyed it a lot and didn't expect for it to take me 17h to read through it (I took my sweet time and I am quite pleased with the length of the game). It is deeply dark and twisted, the story can be as confusing as the mind of each character. You think you know the characters after reading chapter one, but you are wrong, to truly understand the story, you need to go through all the acts and endings. There are lots of twists and turns and you can be surprised by the story until the very end. I don't exactly know what was the purpose of the story, if it was to depict different mental health struggles (I won't precise which ones, because it is kind of a big spoiler) or tell a dark story reminding a bit of Death Note, maybe both and something else. What I know is that I kinda felt some sympathy for all the characters in the end and looked differently at life after reading everything.
Do I recommend this game ? Yes if you like mystery/horror stories, but be aware of what you are getting into, it is messed up stuff. It is also right to say that the voice acting is quite good ! Good reading !

The credits rolled while letting me astonished by the ending and revelations of the game. What did I just experienced ? It is quite cryptic, but it also gives you hints to understand the world imagined by the authors. I think it is quite difficult to review this game, it is quite unique and better experienced by yourself.
As some people said it is really bizarre and haunting, it makes you want to discover more of the lore. It never overstays its welcome and you always want more. More weird characters, more doomed places, more mysterious elements. I needed an intriguing story heavy game and this game delivered quite well !
The art is as you can see in the store page: beautiful. The OST you ask ? Same, it really suits the atmosphere. The storytelling ? Very well written, you feel like you are meeting people from Louisiana, even though I never went there myself, but it feels on point ! Gameplay ? There are some cool mechanics that make the game a bit more exciting (though it remains a point'n'click experience).
It took me around 9 hours to go through the game, I don't know if I will try to 100%, but it was a top notch experience.
If you are on the fence whether to get it or not and enjoy mysteries and narrative games, don't hesitate anymore and go get it ! I would say it is really worth its price.
