Still playing through it, but from what I've played so far, it's unbelievably well made with a great attention to detail. The first person perspective is engrossing and the shifts to third person give you a greater sense of scale and tighter feeling of control while you scale buildings and swing over traps.

The way the maps are designed allows for a lot of different approaches to problems and the emphasis on exploration and stealth creates a remarkably focused but expansive style of gameplay that reminds me of a cross between Hitman and Tomb Raider. Highly recommended.

It's just a mid Overwatch clone that doesn't separate itself from any of the other hero shooters. that being said, it's starting to grow on me.

Early Access Review
It's great so far! I think the early game is going to be frustrating for some melee classes (monk especially is pretty flimsy in the beginning) but I am really excited to see where this goes. Feels like a genuine improvement over the original, at least from the little I've experienced of both. Feels more like a cross between Dark Souls and ARPG than the first one did, big emphasis on rolling and boss mechanics. It's tough, but very fun.

Runs really badly on my RTX 3070 even with medium/low settings. I think there may be a memory leak somewhere because the game will be running OK for a time, then I'll enter a new location and it'll drop down to single digits.

It's a beautiful game, though, and the atmosphere is fantastic. I hope that the issues are fixed. I think it's understandable considering a lot of the devs live in Ukraine and I don't expect them to fix things immediately. It might be worth considering getting the game in a few months.

Awesome little indie experience with fun little puzzles. Great atmosphere and lovable characters. Curious about replaying it and seeing if there are different endings, because there are some different choices you can make along the way.

Overall, I think this is a great game for $20 and well worth the money for any fans of retro-inspired survival horror.

I was hesitant about this game since I didn't really enjoy the other Bloober Team game I played, Observer, but wow, this has been very enjoyable so far.

Also, if you're hesitant to buy this game because of the performance issues, don't worry too much about it. Outside of some traversal stutter (which is brief), I haven't come across any noticeable issues yet. Definitely worth using DLSS or FSR though, because you'll want to turn on hardware raytracing for this. UE5's Lumen looks crazy good and really adds a lot of depth to Silent HIll.

UPDATE: Yeah okay there's a lot of traversal stutter. The game is still pretty good overall, just wish it was smoother.

It's a little overly long (I think my game ran about 17-ish hours and some change) but ultimately I think this is a good remake and worth the money spent.

Really fun platform for D&D RP. Haven't played much of the Bioware-created modules, but I have played Ravenloft: Prisoners of the Mist and I've really loved it. Lots of people talk about players being unfriendly towards noobs, but I haven't really experienced that - the 4 or so hours I've played recently I've met several cool people who were very welcoming. Maybe that'll change, but so far it's not too bad and people are friendly. Just don't expect to play with the guys walking around in hoods mumbling to themselves.

It's a really great game marred by constant bugs and crashes to desktop. One of the most enjoyable and frustrating games I've ever played.

Even with community patches installed, I found the DLC to be especially prone to crashing seemingly at random, and that's also with the 4GB patch installed. YMMV.

If you're able to get past the technical issues, bugs, and crashes, it's one of the most enjoyable roleplaying experiences from the 2010s. Feels a lot more robust than Fallout 3 and more focused on RPG mechanics than something like Skyrim.

it's like BG3 but the writing and voice acting is worse

pro tip: go into settings and change voice audio to 0%

best rpg ever made?

post-game update: wow. just completed my first run of the campaign, getting everything done i possibly could. incredibly powerful writing, extremely charming and memorable cast of characters, fun combat and a plot that puts other AAA games to shame. definitely going to be revisiting this game again. and again. and again!
