I'm an illithid and I like it.

despite it's reputation, and slow start, once you give DS2 a chance and really get into it, there is a lot to love about this game. Admittedly it's much slower feeling than ds3, and SOTFS decided the best way to make things more challenging was to overwhelm you with enemies when possible. That being said, if you're a souls fan, it's absolutely worth playing at least once. You'll probably find the overwhelming number of build options and branching paths means you'll be dipping back in for more.
