As a big fan of Cruelty Squad I kinda expected something in the same vein but this is completely different in more ways than one. Where Cruelty Squad is more of a FPS tactical shooter this is a FPS open world RPG, while both are generally considered immersive sims this takes player agency a notch with what you can do to complete your tasks.

Speaking purely in term of gameplay for sake of comparison it's leaning a lot more into Deus Ex than Cruelty Squad was with it's characters interactions, dialogues, events and RPG elements. It also has a touch of Morrowind specifically for the dialogue system which is great. And there's the obvious with the mechs of where that's probably inspired from, I found them fun to go around in.

The game can be hard for newcomers but once you truly get into the game systems that's when you'll really get hooked in it and make progress (don't underestimate the stock market).

And for early access there's a LOT of content, I just finished the main quest and did the most side quests I could (some I failed but still) and it took me 27 hours with probably lots more content to come.

Big ambitious step from Cruelty Squad which was already ambitious to begin with and truly cement Ville as a master of their work.
