I'm actually one of the bonobos that finds this game very fun......WHEN it works. I played it for 2 hours yesterday without issue and now today I've had 3 crashes to desktop and 3 BLUE SCREENS. I can stomach alot of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ (obviously, since I'm enjoying killing floor 3 on launch), but nonstop crashing kills my boner more than anything else. Please god patch it already so I can play what I paid for

and for context, I'm running 48gb of ram, 9800x3d, and an RTX 5090

I really like this game. Honestly, I do. I was in the middle of 100%'ing it before I was going to write a review for it. However, my data has been corrupted for the SECOND time. First time, I was 30 hours into it. I literally downloaded a trainer just to speed run myself back to where I left off. Then, 17 hours later, I closed the game to go eat and came back to my save file being corrupt again. I'm sorry, but while I think this game is great, it's an absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥-beyond-belief PC port. Half the time the game would hard freeze my PC on startup. Sometimes my frames would drop considerably for no reason. Sometimes they wouldn't.

It is so, so sad that it was left in the state it's in. The technical performance of this game was and is so insanely bad that this entire game's community is a ghost town. You can't find info for most mechanics or exact numbers really anywhere. All you can really find is the large amount of people having the same technical issue you'll probably have. It is not a good sign when I went to search up fixes for the data corruption and there were multiple people saying this happened on their 100+ hour save files with no way to ever recover that data. Completely killed this game for me.....

Truly, truly one of the worst co-op experiences on the market right now, second to the mind bogglingy awful World co-op experience. So bad that they had to make a guide on how to just play the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game with a friend on their official YouTube channel. I genuinely can not comprehend how you had an infinite budget and YEARS of development time just to design this monstrosity of a multiplayer system that I would think is harder to code than just a simple invite and accept system. Rise already did this right, and that game looked like a bargain bin monster hunter in comparison to this one. Keeping the 'you can't join each other until every player has watched the cutscenes separately' requirement that made World such an insane slog was a really, really, REALLY stupid idea. This has effectively killed most of my desire to play this game and after binging it for 1 day with 2 other friends, I'm ready to drop it.

idk probably good if you like hardcore milsims (I don't) but I really wish half the servers I join werent ran by fat ♥♥♥♥ fatties that require you to read and accept their D&D rulebook before allowing you to spawn in and you attempt to survive more than 5 seconds before their automod kills you repeatedly for not following rule #17 located in section 5d of the server rulebook

this game is an atmospheric bukkake and I'd recommend it on that alone. Every area you enter will either be hauntingly quiet, or have an atmosphere soundtrack that sounds so otherworldly and make you tense up to the core. It's unlike anything I've listened to or played before. Every footstep, water drop, door creak, wind gust, paper flap or light flicker will always make you second guess if you're actually alone in the room or not. James' voice acting and performance is so great and adds to the already great atmosphere. He will breath uneasy when scared, limp when hes hurt, pull his weapon out when he knows a monster is near, grunt and swing at enemies as if his life depended on it (because it does.)

I was never interested in Bloober team before, but now they are definitely on my radar from now on. Atmosphere is super important to me in video games, and I gotta say, they absolutely nailed it in this game. Not to mention, I ACTUALLY feel scared and uncomfortable playing this game for long periods of time, which I haven't truly felt towards a game since the original Dead Space back in 2008. I can officially add this game to my list of best horror games of all time (that I've played), competing with Dead Space and Resident Evil. I really do hope Konami lets Bloober remake more silent hill games as I have not played a single one before coming to this remake. If they bring the same passion for horror they had for this game to their future titles (Cronos/any future silent hill game), then we are eating good af
