Good. Heavy on the exposition, though much of it is in-game and skippable. Mostly optional stealth if you don't like that play style, though I enjoyed it. I don't have much free time to game: this one kept me coming back (probably for too many late nights!)
Other reviews cover in more detail, so I wanted to add my support to this game. It's usually cheap and runs well on modern hardware, looks and sounds good, fun to play, interesting world. It's piqued my interest in reading the books.

Overall
Good character design, voice acting and sound effects. Nice graphics. Good story and characters: a lot of your favourites will be here if you're a fan of the first two films. Good variety of enemies and attacks: their AI is also quite impressive. If you're into a bit of the old ultraviolence in an over the top style reminiscent of the films and certain comic books, you should be set. Popping heads and shooting grenades did not get old.

Performance and system
This ran well (albeit with medium DLSS/FSR) on my 32GB RAM 5800x/3080 10GB vRAM Windows VM under Linux host at 3440x1440 VRR. 16GB system RAM should also be fine: total usage on my VM was under 50%. 10bpp colour (HDR) works OK with ini file tweaks: I did not try ultrawide tweaks on my first playthough. It was fine without either, so don't think you have to tweak or mod this unless you have very specific requirements.

Criticisms and notes
The world is a little bit thin in places, but that's to be expected from a smaller studio and a small development budget. Exploration is usually rewarded via experience points. Music variety is also lacking, but wasn't particularly noticeable to me until 75% complete. Well worth ~£1/hour of gameplay: ~100% first playthough was about 24 hours on "Hard" mode. It might be worth skimming a skills guide if you're not sure where to spend you points. I went with the humanity/detective skills to A) roleplay as the human side and B) max XP on my first run. I'm looking forward to messing about a bit more in New Game Plus mode: all my skills were reset to zero, but i retained the points, so could re-spec.

Summary
I thoroughly enjoyed this game, and completed it in a few evenings (and a couple of late nights!) Gunplay was good: I mostly stuck to the iconic Auto-9, and you probably will too, as you can essentially re-spec it at any time to handle a variety of situations and enemy types. I mainly used the other weapons early game, and for a very few specific situations. The Auto-9 gets a good amount of variety through weapon mods: add in melee kills and the extra skills (dash, armour and slow-motion, did not try shockwave this time through) really help you feel like the big metal man himself.

Your move, creep.

10/10, excellent. (I have this on GOG, not Steam)
First playthrough on my old i7 930 / GeForce 970 PC required a bit of tweaking to get 1080p60, runs really nicely 1440p60 on my new PC.

You are Henry: you don't create your player character. If you're OK with this, living the life of Henry is great fun! Start as an illiterate peasant, grow beyond anything he could have dreamed.

I have only played for a few hours on a free to play weekend. During that play, I found it dull and very grindy due largely to the semi-random combinations of blocks you receive and the slow paced tutorials. Maybe it would be improved if you gained access to more blocks earlier. The filtering for blocks is also unintuitive and there appears to be no search function! Why not group related blocks?

Early Access Review
Not recommended, even on sale. Gameplay is (unbalanced) grinding tower defence, not an action RPG/strategy hybrid as per the Steam Store page. I'm sorry I can't recommend this, as there are a few good ideas present.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Mordor, why did you kill my save file? Why can't I save manually to DIFFERENT SAVE SLOTS? argh

Gameplay:
That said, this game is quite good. Fighting feels similar to the Batman games, and the nemesis system really adds to it. Character is quite mobile, and an interesting balance is struck between stealth, ranged and melee attack. You are not a tank, though fighting well means you can avoid a lot of damage. Challenges and opportunities are generally good.

Visuals:
The graphics are pretty good, though some areas have had a lot more attention paid to them than others. Character models and skins are great, particularly the numerous orc types. Art design is generally good.

Audio:
Fine, not particularly memorable. Again, the orcs stand out with their conversations, taunts and other voice acting.

Overall:
Provided the loss of save games is fixed, or you work around it somehow, I recommend this game. As it stands today, I'd give it a recommendation with that important caveat.

Great challenging spectacle fighter with a slight taste of rhythm game. All action, all the time.

Hard initially, particularly as parrying is not explained (push stick toward the enemy, not the attack, and press the X button at the same time). Once over this, I really enjoyed the rest of the game. Has a good amount of content for intermediate and expert players too: this game seems to be designed so an averagely-skilled player get to the end of new game + at least once. Decent story, a bit corny, sometimes funny.

Over the top gameplay and story elements work well together.

Port is fine, but you will be better off with an XBox controller.

Graphics OK, sound good, music great. The music's not what I would listen to in my free time, but works well with the feel of the game.

The last two fights are particularly good, though I found almost all the boss battles highly enjoyable.

More of the same isn't always a bad idea. Adds a few features to Prototype 1, and seems to be a better PC version. I had fun for ~20 hours. A nice fast, dumb, action game. Ethically questionable protagonist (wears a hoodie but at least he's not Johnny 3-Popped-Collars). Pick it up on sale.

A surprisingly good FPS! A few small annoying sections, otherwise great. Really good map design, decent story, the ability to LEAN! and a great range of guns and weaponry. If you have a system with small amounts of main or video RAM, you may want to check performance on a similar system as this game uses id's megatexturing system (though seemingly upgraded since RAGE). Graphics are pretty good, sound and visual design both great. Shoot nazis, single or dual-wield sweet guns, multiple ammo types and a decent skill tree make for a solidly fun game.

A small, fun, colourful game. Bud's momentum is generally represented well and he's fun to control. Rare camera issues. I played it with an Xbox controller; mouse and kb seemed fine from my brief test. Possibly too easy. I liked it, 3.5 hours well spent for the main game. I will probably return to this game occasionally. Should run well on low-end hardware (check first!), as on a GeForce GTX970 it's over 60 FPS 99% of the time, when running at 3840x2400.
