Finally the DS collection and it works amazing. This is 100% worth a buy. It's better than emulation it contains extra goodies and these games are just amazing. Also contains the Haunted castle games. So it really completes the collection.

Hopefully SOTN and Rondo of blood will come out to finsh it all off.

In case you don't know the GBA games are similar to SOTN. If you are new to the castlevania series it's a good way to get into them as they resemble what we today know as metroidvanias, being that style of game after SOTN they are long. It's going to take a lot of hours to complete them. The last game Dracula X is SNES port of Rondo of Blood not the same game. It's an okay game overall Rondo is a better game. But Dracula X still has it's charm. I've enjoyed it but the main buy are the 3 Metroidvania games and they are perfect.

These games are must buy just the best way to experience the games. Even offer improvements over the original hardware in advance games. With the cards being clearly seen and encyclopedia amongst other stuff. It makes tracking cards easier. The games run smoother compared to emulators out there as well. You can also play mods if you follow the guides people have put on the discussion page. A must buy and lets hope that M2 makes more. Considering how cheap these games are you may as well buy them. They offer the best emulation and a better emulation experience you can't get elsewhere. Also available with steamdeck support.

Buy it and support M2 and Konami bringing us more of these games. Because we still have lots of castlevania games. Many that are really hard to get a hold of. DS games, Japan SOTN version, Rondo of Blood, PSP version, Castlevania Chronicles, even the PS2 and N64 3D games. It would be good to see them all on steam.

Early Access Review
While still in early access I love this game. It's so addictive to play. And slow if your a first timer getting base but the tutorial is very good. This game is very clear. The difficult part at the start is dealing with the sun which makes sense your a vampire. But you get used to it. Even taken risky trips with high reawards of loot back to the base. The game is fun I'm not entirely sure about the XP mechanics but it does seem good based on your item level. I was level 20+ got damaged gear made some bone gear and dropped loads of levels. Really interesting.

Like most of these games once built a few bases you will get a hang on what's best. I'm sticking to PVE servers for the time being until I feel ready.

But half way complete and it runs like great. I've honestly never had a bug. Graphics and everything else looks good too. World is bigger than I thought. But I wouldn't say no, to an map extension. I think that would be great. For more stuff to do. Will be exciting to see the full game launch until then I will happily keep playing as this is extremely addictive. Perhaps dungeons and stuff but I trust the dev.

Terrible game, takes Nintendo ideas. Then puts them in this silly game. Breaks steam TOS regarding politics too. You aren't even allowed threads on here about politics on steam. And for the devs asking money for their awful product that clearly takes enemies from Nintendo Mario Bros. Don't put stolen content on steam. Don't put political content on steam since it breaks TOS. Even political games don't use proper character but talk about political ideals. This game just has no brains one side is bad and should be locked up. And how shameless of them trying to ask for money before Nintendo shuts them down.

This game is probably the best medieval style game. The theme and tone. It truely feels like a proper RPG experience. The open world is honestly the best I have seen. I think this is because of the location of the developers. I find many American companies seem to make land look like America. Whereas this feels like Europe. It's something you just feel and need to be in these places to understand. They got so much medieval stuff right too. Showing their history knowledge. The immersion is so good. And having to learn how to read before you can read a book is fantastic inclusion.

The game runs great now. I know at the start few issues but that's to be expected with a new studio. At least they fixed it. And stuck at it. Got scripting materials and great DLC. I can't wait for the next game. And I really hope it's medieval. Much of the generic fantasy is just boring.

The music creator of final fantasy games. Poured his soul into this soundtrack and says it's his favourite final fantasy. And it shows. I think many Square employees feel the same. This is what final fantasy is about. A true fantasy story. There is so much done in this final fantasy that just expanded the world. Active time events shows what your party is also doing when you explore an area. And you may miss some. You may not get them all in first playthrough but as a veteran of this game I remember them well.

I honestly didn't want to finish the boss and see the ending for this game as a kid. After the 2nd last boss I quit and restarted the game constantly on playstation original discs. I never wanted this journey to end. I fell so much in love with the characters of this story. It was annoying. It truely was one of the best story lines going around. And the personal touches. Just hit the feels along with the music. The ps1 will always be remember as a golden age of JRPG. And this was one of the best. Bringing new stories to new heights emotional stories. Stories that made you care.

Well at least we don't need to worry about disc being scratched or cutscene glitching out. How I remember cleaning my discs. Some cutscenes were just busted.

However Modern Square Enix should have done more with this port I feel. I own this on ps4 and it worse since you can't edit on there. At least mods have come through, thank you so much for the people who gave up their time for this game to make it what it should have been. And done the job Square Enix should have done. They should have upscaled everything and use AI to fix stuff. We essentially got something that wasn't even as good as me playing back in 2007 with an emulator and enhancements. If anything the emulator was better. It should have had graphic options from the start. Granted the mods will set you back extra 9gb I think it was for me. But well worth it.

I guess in the end is it worth buying YES. Because it's actually FF9 on the PC. Buy them all. And to have them on steam is the best thing. But sadly SE has a lot of improvements to do. There should have been strategy Guide and artwork included with this game. That would have made this even better. But it's FF9, it's imo and many others the best FF game ever made.

Wow this is amazing. The amount of effort and sprite and other work makes this game amazing. So your in a MMO you do MMO quests while investigate a bigger threat. The game has great combat that is fluid. Good leveling system, allowing you to build your own stats. The game is unbelievable I should have gotten it sooner. What a game. Play the demo it took me about 5 mins I was sold.

If you enjoy rogue-lite games and dark souls parry and stamina system. Then I think you will enjoy this game. The game has some great mechanics. Now I don't know them all personally still in that mode discovery. But there is plenty of replay value. Along with events everyday. Which let you just put on the game do a challenge mode. Now I've seen this being compared to Hades. It's really it's own game. And fans of the rogue genre know this. I just feel this is an unfair comparison. Both games are good in their own ways. Hades has loads of dialogue. Far more than any other rogue game I've played so this game has less of that. Now that doesn't mean that it is isn't good. It's just more like normal rogue lite genre games. Also hades combat is different no stamina in that. This is where souls like comes in. And souls fans I can see you enjoying this part of the combat.

Here are some pros I found:
Having learn the attack animations.
Learn to parry
Learn when to attack and when to back off.
Deal with mobs
Perfect shot timing. (deal more damage and perhaps stun on some weapons)
Perfect dodge (don't lose stamina)

As I say souls combat style. If you enjoyed cursed items in chalice dungeons in bloodborne you will like the effects of the darkness. this can make runs entirely different. And change up the gameplay. There is also events daily sadly only one chance at them. IMO I would have liked to see them stay for the day maybe have leaderboard of times. Rather than 1 shot. But that's no big deal.

Advice for first time players. Okay so you got parry and dodge. You need to find a good control scheme that's right for you and practice at the start of a new game with the 2 bad guys you can summon trust me. Spend 20 minutes getting used to things. Perfect shot. Perfect dodge. Using fire. Sadly no 2 handed weapons at this point but you can deal with them later. They are fairly simple to get the hang of.
