TL/DR: graphic ok, combat ok, story awesome, funny

After finishing my first play-through on story mode I can say it's a fairly decent game.
The graphics aren't awesome but they are still good and can start to dawn on you.
I personally think the combat is good.
NPCs have some funny voice lines and make me cackle once in a while.
The story part of the game is on of the best I've seen, it has extensive and deep lore comparable to large games/franchises such as Elder Scrolls and Halo(Books included) despite only having around 10 hours of playtime before you can beat it.

Note:
Call me a coward if you please but I always play story games on my first playthrough using the easiest difficulty to better experience the story so my combat rating is subject to change if it's better or worse or about the same for harder difficulties when I replay the game on all the other difficulties.
