Overall Rating: Incredible, but my heart is in shambles 🌟

The world is huge and beautiful, the combat is even better than in Remake, and the characters? Absolutely nailed it. The banter, the little moments, the side quests that I definitely didn’t ignore even when the main story was calling—everything just feels alive.

At launch, I ran into some stuttering, but after the patches, it’s been running smoothly, making it an easy recommendation.

I had a good time exploring, racing chocobos, playing mini-games, and pretending that I wasn’t slowly marching toward inevitable heartbreak. That being said, about half of the mini-games made me question my life choices—some were fun distractions, others felt like elaborate pranks by the developers.

The game builds you up with so many cute moments, only to remind you that this is still Final Fantasy 7, and Square Enix will make you suffer.

I saw it coming. I was prepared. And yet, when it happened, I wasn’t.

Still, no regrets.

The visuals are stunning, the combat system is engaging and the music is a masterpiece. Every character feels alive, and the story, while expanded in interesting ways, keeps the spirit of the original intact.

BUT.

We need to talk about The Stairs.

Yes, this is technically faithful to the original game, but good lord, did it need to be THIS faithful? I get it—it's meant to be a moment of humor and tension, but after the fifth minute of Barret's relentless whining and Cloud's silent brooding, I felt my sanity slipping. If I had to hear "ARE WE THERE YET?!" one more time, I might have tossed my keyboard out the window.

And yes, I took the stairs because I thought, "Surely, the developers would modernize this experience!" I was a fool. They doubled down on the agony—and in a weird way, I respect it. But for the love of Ifrit, never again.

That one gripe aside, the rest of the game is great. If you love Final Fantasy, or even if you just want to see what the hype is about, this is absolutely worth your time. Just...maybe take the elevator when you get the chance.

👍 Would I recommend it? Yes.
😤 Will I ever climb stairs in a game again? Absolutely not.

A great mix of diving and restaurant management. The underwater exploration is relaxing, and running the sushi bar is surprisingly engaging. Cute pixel art, humor, and an addictive gameplay loop.

Recommended for indie game fans.

Persona 5 Royal is a captivating masterpiece that excels in both its narrative and gameplay. The gripping storyline weaves together supernatural elements, mystery, and social commentary, keeping players engaged from start to finish. The diverse and well-developed cast of characters adds depth and emotional resonance to the experience.

The gameplay mechanics strike a perfect balance between turn-based combat, exploration, and social simulation. Battles are strategic and exhilarating, while the addition of new personas and skills adds depth to the experience. The stunning visual design, enhanced by vibrant colors and stylish character designs, creates a visually immersive world.

The soundtrack, composed by Shoji Meguro, is a true masterpiece. Its fusion of jazz, rock, and pop perfectly complements the game's atmosphere, leaving a lasting impact. Persona 5 Royal also tackles important themes such as corruption and societal inequality, inviting players to reflect on real-world issues.

In summary, Persona 5 Royal is an exceptional achievement in the world of gaming. Its compelling narrative, addictive gameplay, striking visuals, and memorable soundtrack make it an unforgettable experience. It sets a new standard for the role-playing genre and is a must-play for any gaming enthusiast.
