A strange game. You've got an amazing art design and an intriguing world to walk through marred by the fact that someone thought it would be an incredible idea to design gameplay that Satan himself wouldn't enjoy.

It's quite baffling how bad the combat actually is in this game considering the fact that you need to simultaneously swap between weapons sometimes and it takes an entire year to do so while some enemies are charging you down. There is no quick way to swap attachments if you run out of ammo mid fight because your character is jerking off his hand gun.

The enemies are extremely annoying and even running past them is not a viable option because either they block your path or have homing spit that hits your ass from Africa. You could be halfway across a corridor and this stupid flesh dog is spitting literal bullets at you like he's some bored kid with a straw in high school.

Also, the ending sucked ass how are you gonna build up something so cosmic horror inspired and then have the skeleton gecko show up and just ruin it all.

Overall do I recommend Scorn? No not really especially not for full price which I unfortunately paid for.
On a sale? Sure it's a good time killer even though it's pretty tedious.

Hello,

This game is the worst thing I've ever played in my entire life. I think that people who think this game is the best thing since sliced bread should be taken out behind a shed and ended!
Since completely finishing it including the DLC I cannot in good conscience ever recommend such a horrid piece of putrid ♥♥♥♥♥ to anyone. May god forgive me for spending money on this.

I have since had Steam remove it from my library permanently.

Thank you for listening

This is my first Ori game and I'm not usually a fan of these type of """metroidvania""" games but, I have to say this is by far and away one the most immersive and enjoyable games I've played in a long time.

The controls are tight, combat feels good, enemies and boss designs are amazing and don't get me started on the music. There's a reason why they're selling the soundtrack to this game. It's absolutely amazing. If you're looking for a game that just oozes style you should definitely pick this up

It's interesting this game does a lot that's faithful to the Monster Hunter genre as well as innovates and streamlines certain things. I'm generally against the idea of drastic changes to formulas that work really well already. It seemed silly to change so much about the game's system when previous MH games have already been so enjoyable.

Those initial feelings aside, World is a great game. As a Monster Hunter game compared to the rest of the series I'd say it isn't the best out of them all however, it's still a very good entry. At its core it stays true to the hunt big monster craft nonsense to hunt bigger monster and delivers pretty much what you would expect from a MH game. Certain changes to the core gameplay are welcome as well as questionable but, overall it delivers an experience that is both enjoyable to new players to the series as well as not simplified enough to deter veterans of MH.

PC launch was truly abysmal but I think now, after some time to update and tweak things, it really has come into its own.
