Cliff notes - Don't play unless you are willing to put your hand in your pocket to stand a fighting chance or have the patience to grind until you can craft your staples

I love hate this game. It isn't bad but it lacks many features other tcg games have. Magic and Pokemon both have codes you can redeem when you buy physical things that lets you get them in the game. This doesn't which feels like a crime because pretty much all the cards that you need to actually compete are locked behind crafting using ur currency which you get near none unless you pour money into the game. I get it is free but it feels counter intuitive to lock the ability to have a fighting chance behind rng paywalls. You are not guaranteed ur cards in packs even when you buy 10 you are only guaranteed an sr. Yeah you can dismantle the ur cards you have but don't need but they yield 10 currency when you need 30 to craft a card and many of the staples you have to craft 3 of and you will very likely need a few staples in each deck. It is the best official way to play yugioh but its by far the worst online tcg game ive played when it comes to rewarding you for playing and doing well. Picking it back up now they might have improved but knowing some cards are completely broken and have been since launch but seemingly less broken cards get banned is weird.
