it's 2015 and i've just bought Undertale to play on my old laptop-- it's a few months before i manage to build my own computer, but it's a small, cheap-looking game. a good time, maybe.

i don't think any game has ever felt as special to me since that day. not until i played chapters 3 & 4 of deltarune on release. 1 & 2 are already good-- i've loved them since i played those as well!-- but it's rare to say that a game has made me feel a similar kind of way as i did back then.

it's not there just yet, but only because it's unfinished. it feels unfair to compare the two, though, because i feel that both feed off each other. deltarune is so good because it came after undertale. undertale is so good because it made deltarune possible. i have nothing but confidence that, in a few year's time, when deltarune is finished-- the experience of playing these games will be nothing short of incredible :)

i know, because i would say it already is!

customer asked me to give them double the performance on a high end rig with only 200 dollars and all new parts, after spending most of my funds experimenting with different parts and benchmarking to no avail, i finally decided to send it back, since it wasn't feasible with the budget given.


got called an amateur, given a 1 star review, and i still haven't financially recovered from it.

it's a lot of fun. a little janky and the graphics aren't as good as you might think from the trailers, but it more than makes up for it in immersion and gameplay. little interactions like eating food from a can with your knife are incredible, and i wish there were more like that, because it really sells the whole premise it's going for. will continue to play a lot :)
