Wow this game is super weird, unique, and eerie. Just when you think its getting weird it keeps getting weirder. It is absolutely an enjoyable experience and pretty short at a little over 3 hours long. Definitely recommend.

It is funny how closely this resembles Operation Genesis, yet in more ways than one feels like a downgrade or simplification to a game made almost 18 years ago. I played a ton of Operation Genesis years ago and definitely feel the nostalgia with this game. It still feels like a great game, and I see myself playing it a bit more before I set it aside. Evolution just does not have that open world sandbox feel that Operation Genesis had, and it feels like you are a bit on rails with what you can and cannot accomplish and where you can and cannot build.

Since when did developers start using DLSS as a crutch. I have a 3090 and cant even get to 50 fps with ray tracing on MEDIUM and max settings with DLSS on quality in 4k resolution. Any other DLSS setting is unacceptable and looks awful. Even without DLSS the graphics are underwhelming and the downgrade is very apparent. Very disappointed in this launch. Cdpr obviously needed another year atleast to optimize the game.

Will change review if the performance issues are ever fixed.

A Plague Tale is a fantastic, linear game with just enough crafting and variety in mechanics to complement the superb story without feeling overwhelming. The story definitely did not go in the direction I expected it to, but I was still pleasantly surprised. The music in this game is outstanding and fits the mood perfectly. The graphics are also topnotch, although I wish there was an option to disable anti-aliasing. There is a fair amount of room for different play styles as the various mechanics you learn throughout the game allow you to manipulate the way the game is played in interesting ways. I would recommend this game to anyone.

Life is Strange 2 is filled with plot holes and the story feels unpolished and uninspiring. The characters are pretty boring for the most part, with few exceptions. The writing is god-awful at times as well. It does not even compare to the original Life is Strange or even Before the Storm. The game does have its moments, but I feel like there was so much potential that just wasn't realized. Overall, Life is Strange 2 is worth a play for any fans of the series, but I don't see myself returning to play it anytime soon.

One of the most disturbing games I've ever played. Not quite the same pacing/vibe as the original Outlast. Its more so like whistleblower except more open world and with even more ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up scenes and less jump scares, although there are still a good few.

The game is a little confusing at times, I never had a single problem with the flow of the original Outlast. Never got lost, but never felt the game was on rails either. In Outlast 2, there are more than a few confusing instances where you need to take a step back and reassess the situation. It really destroys the pacing a bit.

The game truly succeeds at being what it is in its core, a horror game. Outlast 2 will pull you into its world, and you may find you will need more than one short break to stay leveled. The story is top notch, the graphics are amazing, the animations & parts of the gameplay are vastly improved over the original Outlast, but I just wish the devs had ironed out some of the areas to improve the flow of the game.

Stellaris is a phenomenal strategy game that blends grand strategy with real time strategy. It is a combination of Sins of a Solar Empire and Endless Space, however, much more in depth. It is unfortunate that it is plagued by the same engine limitations as Sins of a Solar Empire. Late game, on anything but the smallest maps, you will lag, the game will slow down, you will stutter and freeze, and you will want to quit because of it. The UI is not friendly to new players in the slightest, and there are a lot of nooks and crannies that you will discover later on that actually mean quite a big deal to the game.

Even with all these flaws, the positives shine through and end up with a product that is incredible and unique. The dlcs really bring this game together. It is clear that having them all is how Stellaris is really meant to be played. There is always something unique and new happening in your campaigns in my experience over 100 hours of play time.

I wish you could have a bit more control over the tactics of your fleets during combat, like in SoaSE. That was my issue with Endless Space as well. Sometimes it feels like all it is is a straight up brawl and whoever has more ships wins, but I know that isn't always the case. There are a lot of different factors like ship composition and weapons that counter the others. But, from my experience, nothing beats Battleships with Tachyon Lance and Kinetic batteries with a corvette escort, which is kind of disappointing because there are so many other cool weapon types I would like to utilize.

After 100 hours of gameplay, Stellaris is still feeling fresh and I see myself playing it quite a bit more in the future. The possibilities with modding are also endless, and I am sure will spice things up a bit after I start to get tired of the core game. I only hope they don't make the endgame even more laggy. With any luck, we will get a sequel in the coming years that isn't built off of an engine from 2007 that has seen little to no updates.

Early Access Review
This game has come a long way from where it was in the Alpha. In it's current state, it has some issues, sure, but the atmosphere and parts of the gameplay are phenomenal. There's a huge amount of content for this game to build off of. In the amount of time Hide or Die has been in development, to see this kind of jump in quality is a very good sign. For $20, or even $25 Hide or Die is well worth your money. Melee combat is my only concern and that needs to be a top priority for the devs. Proximity voice chat would also be a great feature to add, and the ability to turn off anti aliasing is a must.
