Für jeden Warhammer-Fan eine 11/10. Für Nicht-Fans des Universums werden vermutlich nur actiongeladene Kämpfe die ähnlichen Abläufen folgen hängen bleiben. Mein Rat an Letztere: Werdet Warhammer-Fans.

Starfield VS Star Citizen

1. game world and setting

1a. Starfield (10/10)
  • 200 years in the future, the earth is uninhabitable and mankind has spread into space
  • classic Bethesda game world ála Fallout or Skyrim
  • infinite expanses, you might think that they will slay you, but you are introduced to them gently enough to want to explore for yourself
  • NPCs look busy and behave comprehensibly
  • overall coherent

1b. Star Citizen (2/10)
  • takes place at the time of the expected release
  • empty space, empty planets
  • copy & paste outposts
  • only 4 cities in the whole game (promised are hundreds, at this rate see expected release)
  • copy & paste space stations
  • NPCs are the biggest joke, friendly or hostile. Friendly ones sit multiple into each other or stand on chairs, hostile ones don't attack or kill instant by lag
  • first impression is very good, second look is only nice for elitists

2. gameplay mechanics

2a. Starfield (10/10)
  • Fights
  • Looting
  • Quests
  • Reputation
  • Conversations with NPCs dynamically based on past experience and skills
  • Outpost building
  • Ship building
  • Cultivation of resources
  • Mining of resources
  • Interstellar resource networks
  • Trading
  • Space battles
  • 0-G battles

2b. Star Citizen (2/10)
  • Battles (see NPC quality)
  • CCU-Game (should actually already give 0 points because of that)
  • Trading when it works
  • rudimentary quests
  • rudimentary reputation
  • space battles (ok, better than Starfield)
  • mining of resources
  • 0-G battles
  • the difference to Starfield as a promise for the future (#buymoreships to make it work)

3. graphics and presentation

3a. Starfield (5/10)
  • graphics engine outdated but polished up
  • suitably presented with the available resources

3b. Star Citizen (3/10)
  • Graphics engine outdated but polished up

4. story and narrative

4a. Starfield (10/10)
  • Bethesda.

4b. Star Citizen (0/10)
  • not available

5. development and update

5a. Starfield (x/10)
  • not assessable, but only one year release delay

5b. Star Citizen (-666/10)
  • KEKW simply

6. performance and stability

6a. Starfield (3/10)
  • as an AMD GPU owner I have to fight with crashes
  • which was mostly fixed by the Day-1 GPU patch
  • GPU load 99%.

6b. Star Citizen (1/10)
  • High-end PC or not guaranteed to be able to play after every update

7. monetization model

7a. Starfield (8/10)
  • Premium edition available
  • DLCs

7b. Star Citizen (CCU-Game/10)
  • Simply minus one million points for the scam, I'm almost five figures in, I may allow myself the statement, I think

8. community and multiplayer

8a. Starfield (5/10)
  • Multiplayer 0 points
  • Community 10 points
  • hundreds of mods already available before release
  • YouTube and Discord full of tips and tricks

8b. Star Citizen (5/10)
  • Community varies a lot between nice fellow players and white knight elitists who don't want to admit that they don't want to show double standards by their investment
  • No MMO, only servers with <100 players, so still in development and far away from real implementation

9. learning curve

9a. Starfield (7/10)
  • You constantly learn new things, but sometimes you are not taken sufficiently by the hand, so the learning curve stagnates.

9b. Star Citizen (10/10)
  • Without content there's nothing to learn, after one week you know everything, 10 out of 10!

10. replayability

10a. Starfield (10/10)
  • Mod community will keep this game alive like Skyrim
  • DLCs

10b. Star Citizen (10/10)
  • A new ship every three quarters of a year, makes you want to come back!

I want to end with some critics I've heard.

HAHA LOADING SCREEN - AGAIN!!11
Go f play Star Citizen to learn they are preferable over wasting minutes of your life watching out of the window of a train.

HAHA THOSE ARE NOT PLANETS, THOSE ARE LITTLE MAPS WHICH AUTOMATICALLY GENERATE!!11
Go f play Star Citizen to learn that you can't expect an Earth-like planet in the next 3 decades in a video game.

This game is hard and a challenge. If you give up easily, this game is not for you. If you don't want to spend hours, this game is also not for you. If you like to collect cars / trucks and want to crush the challenges you early had in a later state of the game, this game will be interesting for you.

Es ist vermutlich das beste Home Designer Tool auf Steam. Leider lassen sich keine Dachschrägen einrichten. Manchmal ist das Wände setzen ein wenig zum Verzweifeln.
