Good game, it's short but it's free. I would totally go for an extended version of the game that's paid.

RS classic was better. Which is saying volumes. The Gowers should have never been let near another title. Just go play RS is you want to play something like this. Embarrassing this was released in 2024, when flash games from 2000s are better looking and functionally better gameplay wise. Seriously it's like they took all the bad for RS and put it into an early access mmo. Which btw the MMO factor is pointless, would have been better as a single play offline game. There are hundred of better MMOs out there and thousands of better games in this style. Play anything from Larian for example if you want a game with this style. Play any MMO for a better MMO. Play RS is you want the gameplay loop. This game serves zero purpose in this day and age, it's just a "passion" project from people that made a midteir game in the first place. If you really want to play it then I would suggest waiting 20 years until it becomes better, but it will still be mid teir if RS has taught the world anything.

Okay so the 10M blocks breaking achievement is trash, Everything else is great though. For 8 bucks? good stuff. I thought it was be much more afk, and it does. Idk I liked it, worth the money.

Silly but fun game. Seems to have a roadmap to add other stuff so that's good too. 100% would say play it, good distraction from all the shovel ware AAA companies have been dropping.

Figured I would hate this game cause I am normally not a fan of syfy, or space games, but to be completely honest it's the best game Bethesda has every released. On top that I can pretty much say the first time through the story I had little to no bugs, which is pretty crazy. Don't get me wrong now that I have 100+ hours I can tell you it's got all the Bethesda bugs, but you know how it is. I'd tell you to play it, it's not bad.

Game was clearly released as a beta, the game is clearly just a platform for modding my opinion of this game has greatly changed and I cannot recommend buying it. Also they added micro-transactions. There is hardly any replay value to it and it's pretty clear they are hopeful that the community will give it life and purpose. Honestly there is no lore, no depth, and really no thought put into it. The only thing this game is good at is being a representation of the soulless that is going into modern 'triple a' games.To be clear though I did like it at first, right up until end game. I was able to look past how mid it was due to my enjoyment of the jet pack mixed in with gun play, after that faded I was left with the cold hard true, there was no design put into it and it doesn't have the grace that Elder Scroll and Fallout have which is years and years of lore.

Fun for a bit, but ultimately is a shallow experience and a glowing example of why the studio needs an overhaul.

It's a really cute game, and the character interactions are great. I mean if you're buying the game for gameplay get a different hack and slash, but let's be honest you're not here for that.

I considered just saying I wouldn't recommend solely based on not Chaos Garden, it's a crime 100% for real.
Anyway, I took the time to beat the game before I decided whether or not it's good. The open world part is 100% worth buy the game, it's an excellent collect-a-thon. Just know you're playing a Sonic game so there are going to be a lot of negatives. There were two major ones for me.
The 2D sections, they are mostly fine in the subareas since you can outright skip them if you don't enjoy them, but there are some 2D sections in the open world and alot of the time I felt like I would start avoiding the interactable objects just so my camera wouldn't get locked and 90% of my freedom is removed. Just seem completely out of place with the rest of the game. It's too bad that I outright skipped Cyberspace levels because I would just get annoyed that I have such fun movement in the overworld maps, but then that's all taken away in the subareas. I think that if the levels where not so liner I would have enjoyed them and the 3D subarea levels are great. 2D levels just feel out of place. That said if you don't enjoy one just go fish for 20 seconds and skip it. Speaking of fishing, it's definitely a double edged sword, while it's nice to be able to max your level with about a hr of time it 100% takes a ton away from the game, personally I love it since I didn't like the subarea levels, but ya.
My other main complaint is the menuing. It's awful. To go from 1-99 Speed and Rings takes a hour of your life you'll never get back. This could have been made better by either just allow the player to select how many levels they wanted or just put the leave prompt button at the bottom. Instead you have to wait for the prompt and hit down to select the one your want, you can't just mindless mash A while you wait for your skill to max it's annoying. When there is an ACCEPT or DENY prompt there's a slight delay before you can ACCEPT, and as someone who likes to change the sounds around depending on what I am doing it was a real pain. To change the sounds you have to press about 25 buttons and it takes about 20ish seconds of your time to do it.
Those two things are what really took away from the game for myself personally, that said if you don't factor those two things the game is likely the best Sonic game made. With those things, it's still top 3 for sure, but man there was a time I almost quit since everything seems to lock me in invisible walls and put me on rails. I'll likely go bad and 100% all the sub-levels, just didn't feel like bothering with them at the time. Overall I would say just play the game, it's great, but I am sure there are going to be things you don't feel fit in or are polished properly.
There's still no Chaos Garden so my official rating is if you don't give us Chaos Garden DLC then I'll cry. I mean -100/100.

Ya, I mean I understand the whole making it bare-bones to really hone in that 20+ year old MMO vibes, but I mean you still could have had a polished game. This is 100% for a particular group of people, not for everyone, but if you're the kind of person who will grind something like orrs hundreds of hours then you'd likely be alright playing this. Personally I think it's a neat oddity out there, unfortunately building a game to have so many short comings from the start doesn't sit right with me so I don't think I will give it the time. If I want to play a game that is bad just to keep people who can't adapt to change happy I would just go play Old School Runescape.

Super cute game, if you like games like stardew, havest moon, blah blah, you'll like this one.

MTX, and just nit-picky on how it handles game window, it feels bad. Game's really trying to get you to buy stuff and events just seem like a means to make you burn the collected boosts. Not really worth your time.
