Paragon, old chap, is that you?

Wizard dream come true :)

A casual and laid-back life sim with a bit of farming and cooking thrown in. Doesn't have any combat but still fun to do quests for the various Disney characters and collect/decorate the town/your house. Works very well on Steam Deck as well and going between devices is seamless. Great to play here and there, only complaint I have is characters sleeping like clockwork at the same time every day so if you play at night for example, you may miss some characters and will have to play when they are awake. Overall a fun game for when you aren't in the mood for something serious or time consuming or difficult.

Best RPG and genuinely fun game in a long time. There is no hand holding and that's what makes the game so rewarding.

The difficulty of Souls games but a bit forgiving if you decide to roam around and get stronger before taking on main bosses. The addition of a mount and jumping has also taken the Souls games to the next level, making vertical exploration possible (some places can only be reached by jumping with the mount for example). Fast travel is extremely accessible and abundant. Playing with friends is also easier as the item needed is craftable using easily found mats from the open world.

The open world puts you in control of the adventure and difficulty. You can rush through the main story or take your time and explore the dungeons and take on mini bosses. Exploration and discovery can be found in every corner and the world has unique zones and mobs. There are mystery elements in that the story is told not only via cutscenes but also through notes that you find and NPCs that you speak with (which aren't always in the same place or time of day).

The bosses are all unique and have their own movesets to learn. You can choose to take them on just you or you can bring in spirit summons/NPC summons/co op or even use cheese methods (which are plentiful) to beat the bosses. The music is phenomenal as well and really sets the mood for the fights.

Slighty addicting but very buggy

Masterpiece of a game! Can really feel the love and effort that went into this sequel. Really feels like Psychonauts 1 with even more fun platforming and unique beautiful worlds. I played Psychonauts 1 right before 2 and this is a great continuation of the story right from where 1 left off. There are new abilities and tweaks to movement and combat but in a good way which makes this an even more enjoyable game than 1 already was. The artstyle is gorgeous as well and gameplay is smooth in general.

My only complaint is that it suffers from the Unreal Engine 4 micro stutters issue which almost all new UE4 games are experiencing. It is most noticable when loading new areas/teleporting between areas due to shaders rendering. Devs have acknowledge this issue and are working to hopefully patch it. Besides this though the game is perfection.

10/10 and GOTY for me

I got this for a dollar on sale to play before Psychonauts 2 released. I find it still holds up really well graphically for its age. It's one of the best platformers around for sure. Great story telling, unique world craft and lots of dark comedy. Overall a steal for the price and so worth a playthrough.

I had an issue with the game not recognizing my PS5 controller. What worked for me was just closing/opening the game and fiddling with steam controller settings. There might be a better fix around but I was lazy to look.

So far it is pretty fun and very cute, I absolutely love the artstyle. I've played about an hour now and already been in combat and gotten some quests completed so pacing is fast and fun so far. I am playing it with a controller which I personally find better than keyboard only. The game runs well, no issues or crashes so far there but I do wish there were more resolutions (currently highest is 1920x1200). FPS is max 30 but it works fine with the artsyle of the game. Looking forward to playing more of it :D
