Let's start with the good stuff:

The game is available on steam so you don't have to use that battle.net launcher.
The game gives you a huge variety of pride themed calling cards which seems to make a lot of gamers angry. That makes me happy.


That's pretty much it.
Other than the usual annoyances that come with every call of duty there are some very bad things about the game that I want to point out. So if you feel like those would bother you as much as me you shold really skip this game. okay:

-The game doesn't allow you to turn off anti aliasing and it only features a very poor implementation of temporal anti aliasing. It makes the game really blurry. It's really bad on 1080p but I've read that it's much less noticable on higher resolutions.

- You cannot turn off crossplay. I don't want to get into the debate if console aimbot is fair or not. But if you don't like competing against people with aim assist there is currently no way around it.

- The weapon progression is absurd. It takes forever and is annoying. If you want to have a specific red dot sight for your m4 for example you have to unlock this by progressing the mp5 "lachmann sub". But that gun is locked. To unlock it you need to first level up the lachmann 762 battle rifle half way until you unlock the lachmann 556 assault rifle. Then you need to level that up halfway to unlock the lachmann sub. And in that unlock path you can then unlock your red dot for the m4. You have to play 4 different guns out of 3 different categories. Idk who came up with that idea.

-The maps are the worst out of every call of duty I have ever played. They are generic and have too many hiding spots and too many angles to check at once. They feel awkward.

-They menues feel awkward to use. The UI doesn't work half of the time. You get kicked out of parties all the time. Many times you cannot access your friends list.

Ein interessanter Mix aus Action RPG, Moba und Survival PvEvP.

Die Atmosphäre erinnert an Diablo. Man ist ein Vampir und hackt sich durch allerhand Gegner. Viecher wie Bären und Wölfe, Monster wie Skelette, Zombies oder auch menschliche Gegner.
Das Kampfsystem erinnert dabei an Diablo und ebenfalls auch an Mobas. Allerdings wird mit WASD gesteuert. Das geht in der Praxis sehr flüssig und intuitiv von der Hand. Macht spaß. Es gibt eine gute Fülle an etwa dreißig skills. Man kann sich seinen Charakter also sehr individuell zusammenbasteln. Hinzu kommen eine Handvoll Waffen, die jeweils auch bis zu drei aktive fähigkeiten mitbringen.

Das Spiel ist kein MMO. Man spielt auf Servern mit um die 40 Spielern. Die Server bieten eine persistente Welt in der man sich ein beachtliches Schloss bauen kann. Das Building System ist simpel, aber sehr intuitiv und funktioniert gut. Durch die Perspektive ist man auf eine Ebene limitiert, durch die mögliche Größe der Basen kann man dennoch komplexe Bauwerke erschaffen. Wo andere Spiele gerne mal durch bugs oder verwirrende konzepte frustrieren, kann dieses Spiel wirklich punkten. Das Bausystem zu begreifen, dauert keine 5 Minuten.

Es gibt PvE oder PvP server. Meine Erfahrung mit PvP ist begrenzt. Aber es erinnert dann doch mitunter an Rust. Man sammelt Resourcen, um sich eine Basis zu bauen um noch mehr Loot zu verstauen. Man craftet ausrüstung um Gegner zu überfallen um noch mehr Kram zu bekommen mit dem man dann Gegnerische Basen raiden kann. Oder man wird ausgeraubt.

Aber auch für reine PvE spieler bietet das Spiel bereits jetzt eine Menge content.

Wenn du eins oder mehrere der folgenden Spiele mochtest und du dir vorstellen kannst an einer bunten Mischung aller Spaß haben könntest, kann ich dir V Rising nur empfehlen:

There is a game breaking bug in the game where there is no sound from the rear and front audio channels on some audio devices. You basically cannot hear anything that is happening in front of you or behind you. And I'm not saying that it's too quiet or something. There is no sound at all. The only fix for this is to uninstall the sound drivers for your headset or dac which in turn disables all the functionality that requires the driver installed: No more equalizer, the driver software for the headset won't work anymore, no battery indicator. Also it seriously degraded sound quality in any other application too.

Having played Shadow Warrior and Duke Nukem 3d as a kid I really miss the way the levels in those games were designed. They were highly detailed, interactive, complex and full of secret areas. You don't really find that it in most modern day shooters anymore. Using a source port of the original build engine was a smart move by the developer. The game feels very similar to the old build engine games.

The game has some flaws like bad hit registration and enemies bugging out to projectiles getting stuck mid air but that all didn't change the fact that I really enjoyed the game so far.

This is a must buy for fans of Duke, Blood or Shadow Warrior and even if you haven't played those games back in the day, this could be an interesting lesson on the history of gaming. It's not only good as a "retro shooter". It still is good by modern day standards.

Cute and fun little pirate themed game. It has elements of an MMORPG and rogue-lite. It's nice and relaxing to play in between work or more intense games.

Also it's free.

The fast travel system is complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. You need to pay "azoth" to fast travel and the cap for it is extremely low so it is really easy to run out. This is particularly bad because the quests are designed in a way that they send you to some remote area and then have you walk all the way back to turn in the quest. So the gameplay is 90% walking and 10% doing the very uninspired and boring quests. Most of them are "search chests in area X and come back. It's probably their plan to introduce some paid QOL-improvements and the quests are designed like that to make people buy Azoth or something.

The worst thing about it is that the core game mechanics are actually fun so I really WANT to like this game.

Also from a technical perpective this game is a mess.

This game is funny af. It's a fun physics based fighting game. The only thing I don't like is the wonky camera. An option for an over the shoulder 3rd person camera would be nice.

Frustrating af but it's still fun
