That update video trailer on the store page is from 2017, and hasn't received a single new weapon or gameplay balance update since, 2018 if you're really grasping at any gameplay changes. The only 'updates' they roll out at this point is only for cosmetic items and maps, both of which are shouldered by the community with Valve shipping it out as is.

Edit 11/18: 1 Halloween later, Casual has been mostly ironed out, I'd give it the go ahead for gameplay, but don't expect any big new weapons/classes. A personal nitpick for me is just how map quality can vary wildly from each other, but you can pick out only the good ones for your queue.

While people draw it up as a hardcore platformer only for the most elite of speedrunners (and yeah, seeing every ending kinda requires that level of skill), it is by no means required to feel a sense of progression both in yourself and the in-game environment. Even after the credits roll you'll still have a new goal to push yourself towards as you dig deeper into the secrets and tricks people have found out about this game, so I don't think I'll stop playing anytime soon!
