Let me start with you'll probably love this game, but I have so many small gripes that it ruins the entirety of the game for me personally.


The dragonrot system is unclear, and unfun. If you die, dragonrot. If you res, dragonrot. No matter that you do you are punished. It shouldn't spread dragonrot if you chose not to resurrect but it still does. I understand there is a "cure" but dying to bosses is made so much worse knowing i'm "ruining the story"

Other issues are you have to hold "X" too pick up loot which means you are likely to miss a lot of stuff unless you're mindlessly pressing x which gets old. The bosses can get old really fast, in one 3 hour session you can face up to 4 bosses/minibosses. And at some points go from one boss directly into the next.

The scaling is extremely unrewarding. You kill bosses, get stronger in big stages rather than "upgrading" gradually using the common currency. The skills are extremely generic, and nothing new.

I think it's biggest issue is it becomes extremely overwhelming very quickly. In my current play though I have 3 or so bosses I could do. And 1 I need to do to progress. It's gets to the point where it feels like all you do is just fight mini bosses and get smashed (or not) over and over. It was super cool the first few but now it's becoming a chore, and really tiring.
