Hard to get started, but once you get past the beginning the game has a ton of depth. Lots of fun for a looter shooter.

The game had potential. Sadly too many game breaking bugs and dupe issues. AGS seems to lack any idea how to actually make a modern MMO. Too much content gated behind group play with no ability to actually find groups. Solo play isn't possible as you get to higher levels. Group play is entirely focused around PvP. Game feels like it was meant to be 100% PvP and then they realized that wouldn't sell.

The game could be fun. The problem is the match making system is such trash you can expect to either completely destroy the other team or get completely destroyed. The best is when it fills the other team with high level players first, then gives you two trash bots or beginners. If that sounds like fun, best game ever. For everyone else, find something better to do.. like kicking a wall.

Defiance was a ground breaking game. A 3rd person MMO tied to a TV series that was highly entertaining at first. As with many MMOs that lack a direction, the development team decided to modify things that weren't broken and add crap that made the game not fun.

As it stands today, this game is for you if you enjoy doing the same thing over and over. If you like to feel like the gun you are using is really a pea shooter. If your idea of DLC is the same content played in reverse, the same content with more bad guys, the same content in the form of an arena, the same content in a different area, then this is probably the game for you. Even better is that they can't make that same content play correctly most of the time.

I'd still recommend playing this game if you enjoyed the show. It is worth a play through, but not worth spending any money on.

Excellent game. Story mode is highly entertaining. Online mode has tons of options and something for everyone. Heists if you are into teamwork, racing, missions, deathmatch, or just want to putz around killing random people. It is all there. The only issue in online is hackers ruining some public lobbies.
