For a game that's $50, this has more polish than most AAA budget games these days at $60, $70, or now even $80.

The story is engrossing, the characters and dialogue are well written, and the combat is engaging for a turn based RPG. The customization system is solid, and each party member feels unique (so far).

We'll see if this changes after another 30-40 hours, but after 8 hours I already like this more than BG3 and if GTA6 wasn't coming out I would think this is a shoe in for Game of the Year.

EDIT: 30 hour update, it's absolutely my favorite RPG of all time.

EDIT: 60 hour update, it's probably my favorite game of all time.
