When purchasing ARMA 3, know that this was initially not a game, it was a sandbox for the military to test outcomes with different units and supports stacked against each other in a virtual space. Bohemia, over time, has worked to make it more comfortable on the controls/handling aspect for those that may not understand it.

You will die to "BS" a lot. A tank that wasn't in the planning will roll up and wipe your entire team out in less than 10 seconds. A helicopter will shoot your transport before you get to control your character. A mine will kill your Engineer and you will have to ditch your backpack for his so you can still complete your search and destroy mission.

This game, unlike every other game you have ever played, was not designed with a scripted route for you to follow to a victory screen. It is, loosely saying, the most realistic game in that category. If you do not lose often in other games, this one will be frustrating for you. You will die a lot.

There is more to this game than infantry combat. Games like Battlefield and COD teach you that a man with a Stinger/AT-4 can match any plane or tank, this game will teach you that using those objects at the right time may give you a fighting chance. Vehicles are not balanced, weapons are not balanced. The only balance comes from your skill and your planning.

Your team is your greatest asset. Be it reviving you, spotting targets, or just holding extra equipment for you. Don't sell your team short, and never do anything without your friends knowing. A lost soldier hurts his whole squad, if you go down 50m away, your squad now has to retrieve you, putting them in more danger.

Don't be afraid to learn. You can do a lot more than just infantry/drive to the objective. There is an entire Virtual Training section devoted to teaching you how most of the drones/planes/helis/guidance etc. works in this game. Everything you learn makes you that much more valuable when your team needs someone to complete a special task.

ARMA isn't just one big community, there are tons of milsim, "for fun", roleplay, and other types of subgroups within. Don't feel discouraged if you join in to King of the Hill and get blown away a few times by the guy hiding off-hill with a .50 sniper rifle. Go try another server with a different mode, ask one of your dozen friends that already has the game to play with you. There is a ridiculous amount of ways to play ARMA.

All of that being said. ARMA is a very fun and rewarding experience. Not just a win screen, but the tense feeling of riding in the back of a helicopter with your buddies to a hot zone. Laying in swamp at night, listening for the sounds of feet between the gunfire in the town nearby. The pride of coming up with callsigns for your team and hearing them called over the radio in a large scale group event. Getting goosebumps from hearing the whizzing of bullets over your head as you hop out of the protection of an APC. All of these experiences are so great because they weren't specially crafted for you to see every one of them. They unfold as you play.

Censorship of common words in chat that have more than one meaning, one of which being political.

I was just getting into this game, then I look up some news about it and here we have people complaining about items on the market and asking for people's work to be taken down because it differs from their opinons.

You have to be a RWBY fan to even be on this page to buy the game, why else would you look this up? This review won't sway your opinion.

Not worth a buy. There are probably three enemies in this game. Nothing special about the characters, you could reskin them as anyone else and not recognize where their moves come from. The maps are better than the show backgrounds but still barely up to par with any indie game. Enemy types are slightly different from one another and there aren't many. I have little time in the game but playing with a friend that already got far, there's not much here to progress with.

There's nothing really in this game that comes across as a work of passion, something that made me watch the show to begin with. The level of detail feels effortless, like they just did what they had to. There's no wild ride beat em up fun like Castle Crashers and no story and sword like Witcher/Batman etc.

The DLC is also quite the rip. 4 more characters you probably like to ship but yet again provide little more than a bit of visual eye candy.

Early Access Review
Bossa Studios adds their incompetent group to the list of people that prove to you why early access is a bad idea designed to help talentless people walk off with your money. Do not trust them, follow their names and potential rebrands to the next scam. They will reappear and bring us more unfinished garbage the next time their bills come up.

For the record. I have far more than 150 hours in this game. Check my stats on the Uplay account Fun_Fact on a stats website as proof I've put far too much time and money into this game.

Rainbow Six has been a very long and fun adventure up to this point. From a rocky launch all the way to the greatest remdemption story since Battlefield 4. Tons of content, balances, and overhauls have made it quite the ecosystem of players. You could play for the memes, the glory of having a rank charm to carry into the new seasons, or just to have fun with friends.

Unfortunately, Ubisoft seemed to have lost what this game meant to the loyal playerbase, up to this point. I don't hate eSports, I don't hate pro players or any of that. But with popularity comes an image to uphold. Ubisoft has done more to stop people from acting out or typing expletives, than they have done to fix some of the minor/moderate issues with the game that have been known since launch. They combat toxicity like it's the thing that people were complaining the most about. Not recoil, not abilites being too powerful, just people saying negro and ♥♥♥♥♥.

As of Year 3 Season 3, Ubisoft announced in Season 4 that they will be globally censoring the game with the hopes of getting ahold of the Asian market. This isn't "political correctness", this is Asian taboo being taken out to meet their standards. Be it the skeleton of the Grim Reaper on the map Clubhouse getting a facemask, to the knife for a melee in the killfeed getting changed to a fist. Even blood on the map Skyscraper is going to be completely removed.

I can understand regional changes due to cultural taboo, although I don't agree with it myself. But the fact that Ubisoft is unwilling to make regional changes, or hire more staff to handle this type of thing, just shows that they are not appreciative of the fans of the Tom Clancy universe. They are going to try and maximize sales in every country they can put the game in, no matter what they have to sanitize or change.

The current season, Operation Grim Sky, did little to bring in new players, and the game is constantly on the decline as new season hype either builds (people waiting for the update to play again) or disinterest after each patch and blog update that shows little promise for the game.

I simply cannot recommend this game anymore, as you will be buying a hollowed out game devoid of the experience you'd have gotten in 2017.

♥♥♥♥♥♥ devs piss on their modding community, blaming their fans for Shark Cards and MMO levels of grind for basic items in the game. I know no one is going to read this, I just want to further lower the score as they're greedy and selfish ♥♥♥♥♥ stuck on their high horse.Oh and R*, you didn't take away all the cash modders dropped me, the gunrunning stuff is kinda lame. This game is one big buyable cheatcode now.REVISION: My review obviously pertains to the online. With mods and or/singleplayer, it's still a good game. But RS has not handled the Online with a lick of kindness to their players. They are milking them for everything they can with no remorse.

I'll start by saying this is only worth having with the GOTY Edition.

There are 10 or so "challenges" to "hone your skills" but really it's prepping you for nothing you haven't already done in the story mode. The first challenge is the best considering it is sometimes random, and that's probably the only good thing I can say about it. The others are mostly brawls or Time Attacks and leave you with little to no satisfaction of completing, especially compared to the Story or even the other DLCs.

If you ever wanted to brag about how many points you can get in a Dishonored game, this is the DLC for you.

If you don't buy their Extra Price Edition you can't use mods.

Avoid this game, just get Men Of War: Assault Squad 2. It is the same game, 70 years in the past and more content. This is a mod for a much better game.

Seriously, just don't.
