Game is good. If you like base Everdell, then this is great. Everything is really smooth and fully automated. You can bang out a game in 10-20 minutes if you're quick. No need to struggle with physical things.

There's a couple of bugs and certain actions are unable to be undone (e.g. Journey) which is a shame. I also wish there was a game editor or even full modding support. Would be fun to play out more scenarios than the premade ones.

It's a good sequel to Hades.

Early Access Review
It's good clean fun, with gameplay reminiscent of the older BF3/BF4 titles.

EDIT: 17/06/2023 - just go play Battlebit Remastered. It's better.

It's an unfinished game with core gameplay issues, server issues and performance issues. As of right now: this is not a worthwhile purchase due to the shortcomings.

Performance is absolutely horrible. I'm running the game with a mid-range rig (better than BF2042's supposed recommended hardware) and an RTX 3060 and wasn't able to get 60 FPS at lowest settings at 1080p, even though I did all possible optimizations I could find.

Server performance is a mixed bag. Approximately 10% of your gameplay will be completely unplayable due to rubberbanding and stuttering.

The game has UI bugs everywhere (e.g. weapon modifications in Portal don't work: only the first equip slot of your weapon modifications is usable).

Weapon bloom is back - and it's absolutely terrible.

There's also issues with map design, vehicle handling, (footstep) audio, lack of base game content, no server filters, attachment unlock system and then there's a huge list of features that older Battlefield titles did have, but this title is simply missing (movement mechanics, underwater swimming, thermal optics, server filters, joining friends, etc.)

The OG Battle Royale! The only bothersome aspect of the game is the movement inertia, not being able to instantly stop or change directions for the sake of realism. When compared to snappy, super responsive fast paced BR competitors, this game just feels incredibly sluggish.

Despite the sluggish feel when compared to other BR games: this is still the most 'pure' out of all BR, as it is the definite trendsetter. Definitely try it out if you're looking for a realism-centric fun BR.

Super responsive, fast paced and fun gameplay. They deliver on their promises: there's a lot of spells (arcanas) and relics. Any spell you can think of: it's probably in the game. The game offers a lot of depth and customization. There's hundreds of unique viable playstyles, relics and arcanas.

Learning curve is a bit tough, but you'll progress bit by bit. Acquiring and buying new arcanas, robes and relics along the way make it quite fun and rewarding.

First and foremost: the game has a glaring issue with movement/aiming. You are unable to control your tank's movement separately. You always drive towards your crosshair. The lack of accurate control is very similar to the game 'QWOP': insanely frustrating.

Very oldschool, nostalgic game. It was kinda fun for half an hour, after that, the game simply became repetitive, tedious and frustrating; the game has not aged very well.

(P.S. Go to C:/Steam/steamapps/common/Heavy Weapons Deluxe/data and you'll be able to edit the health totals of all enemy targets, including bosses. You're also able to edit level-duration, that makes the game much, much less tedious)

Incredibly fun little game to play with a friend for approx 10-20 hours.

I'm sure you can squeak out lots more hours with mods, but I didn't bother. Very Diablo-like both in a good way and a bad way. The game has low replay value and is quite 'narrow', there's simply not much to do due to the limited amount of specialization and amount of discovery. First playthrough was a blast, it has all the fun aspects of a dungeon crawler RPG but it simply stops being fun after the first playthrough unless you really really like grinding the same repetitive stuff for virtually no satisfactory reward.

Oh yeah.

Hardcore blasting, interesting mechanics and a good big batch of fun (and a little bit of thinking).

Would definitely recommend it to anybody with a few bucks to spare, looking for some retro-style blastin'

Yes! An overall fun game. This game still has ~500 active players online at any given moment, enough to get you into a lobby within 30 seconds. (Nov 2016)

A nice casual and nostalgic FPS game to play. Gameplay feels extremely smooth and responsive as long as your host is good. There are unfair parts about the game, but in my opinion: nothing gamebreakingly OP.

If you're willing to see past the hacker once in a few lobbies and would like some good ol' fun in a casual FPS: this is by far the best option.
