You may be here for the same reason like me: you finish playing FF XIII (wether you was dissapointed or not) and you want to continue that story from the main game. Personally, I was expecting the problems (and there were a lot of them) of the predecessor to be fixed and to finally excperience the game idea behind FF XIII in his full potential.. I mean, it just has to be better then FF XIII, right...?

...and yet, it is not.

Disappointingly I even have to say, if they would have not that interesting time travel mechanic (which also could have been executed so much better), it's even worster then the previous title: the game has the same weaknesses, but has now improved backtracking and just two(!) members in your party, for the whole story time - and no, not one of them are from the party which you get used to in FF XIII. Furthermore, it's like I copy/paste my review from FF XIII:
The (honestly) interesting lore is still buried behind loading screens, the menu (keyword: datalog) endless corridor areas, grinding quests and hidden easter egg hunts. When a cutscene is finished, you still forced to stop walking after 30 seconds, to see another cutscene or dialogue, where characters saying absolutly nothing or the opposite case: explain something obvious for the thousand time. I mean, this game was released two (!!!) years after its predecessor.. What have they done in that time?
One the bright side, the music is still enjoable, as well the combat system.

I don't even want to write any more words, it's just a mess and for me not understandable what the developers have done with the time and experience (!) after (the rightly critisist) FF XIII.

I really tried....
..to like even this game from a series that I think is one of the greatest of all time.

But even for me, as an FF fan, I have to say that there are so many flaws in this game, that it's impossible to overlook them all in total:

Character:
I just want to say that the playable characters here are the most anime-typical (in the negative sense) so far and have the most flat character traits that have been in a FF so far. That doesn't stop with the names either: Vanilla, Snow, Hope... the last is btw a 14 years old permanent party member, who troughts boomerangs at the enemies.
However, if you are new to the genre and are following (for example) a steoreotypical "cold" character from the group who later thaws out and becomes more social, then you may be quite surprised and pleased with the character development. For me, unfortunately, there is nothing new, nothing fresh to discover.

Story:
Has his moments, but is complicated and does itself no favors: Why use like-sounding, difficult words to tell a story? Pulse Fal'Cie, Sanctum Fal'Cie, L'Cie, Cie'th.. and in general? What is this all about? Oh yes, I can go in my menu to read and understand more of the world building.. Sorry, that is bad and lazy story writting.

Level Design:
I know a lot has already been said about the linear design, but I just have to mention it again because it's really just that bad. How it's designed: cutscene/ blackscreen/ 5 meter walk/ blackscreen/ cutscene/ blackscreen/ walk 30-45 minutes trough a linear corridor level where enemies (which was before bosses for the group) waits and stays in your way/ blackscreen/ cutscene/ boss battle/ chapter ends and it starts from the beginning.. And you do this from Chapter 1 till 11... Yes we know this also from former FF, but this game is from 2009..

Post-End/ Sidemissions:
Probably also one of the most uninspiring things the series has ever produced. There is no post-end content. You can defeat the end boss again and again... great. Along the way, you can complete side missions in the only, relatively open (yet super boring green landscape with no distinctive recognition value) level. This looks like this: Accept the mission on a stone (at a location you have to find before!) run to the missions object (take overall 10-20 minutes) defeat the enemy and then, search the next mission in this area.... that's all... in a FF game... just super disappointing.
And the upgrade-system: collect parts, then go in the savepoint menu and click over and over again on level-up button. YEAH!

Atleast SOME positive side notes/ thoughts..
-the final boss fight felt good thanks to the atmospheric music
-Lightnig has a super cool character design, beside the fact, she is super boring as a character itself
-music in general is okay, but not comparing to former great OST's in the FF games

Conclusion:
I am just disappointed// NOT RECOMMENDED TO BUY

If you want to buy this product to play Final Fantasy X, ignore this review. Maybe X is for me not one of the best games in the Final Fantasy serie, but still very enjoable and the fight mechanic is even today one of the best from all of them.

But oh boy, we have to talk about Final Fantasy X-2:

The "story" brings absolut nothing new or interesting to our (old and new) heroes, beside the fact, that the plot feels like an aweful fan-fiction. The gameplay is in fights really entertaining if you can handle the view (a lot, a looot of fan service), but the rest of it and the non-combat stuff like: sidequests, minigames etc. are just not thrilling or feel necessary (unfortuantely you have to do them/spend a lot of time for it, to obtain all of the combat dresses). The dialogues and the humor are in my opinion also very... childish (the new driver Brother!) and from Rikku is now nothing left then an j-pop, comic figure.

I remember the producers saying back in the days, that they want to end the love story between Yuna and Tidus in a good way.. nowdays I can tell you that was just an marketing move to explain that kind of a cash grab after the huge sucess of X in 2001. Simply: this part adds NOTHING new to the love story of them both (and no, that 5 seconds ending (what you just get, if you play that game to 100%!!), don't count for me). All in all, a very poor start for the first game in FF history, which represents "Part 2" from a main series game.

Short: Where was this game all my life?

Long: Quantum Break is half game, half movie. It is meant to be a cinematic experience, and the game is designed to be around this. Right from the beginning the story is thrilling, so you won't have any problems to want to put your controller out of your hands (I don't recommend Keyboard).

One really cool feature that the game employs is the use of live action footage that is quite lengthy. Each video is around 20-25 minutes long. I quite liked this addition to the game, as it made it feel even more like a movie.

At the end of each act, you're prompted with a major decision to make. This affects both the live action footage you witness as well as the game events itself. The decisions aren't some minor dialogue checks that don't really matter in the end like in a lot of other games that utilize them.

Overall, the game has a great story and executes it with the gameplay well too, even when the game itself is a bit short (~15h playtime). I'm giving QUANTUM BREAK a 9, primarily because of the story and especially(!!) presentation.

On a side note, you should ignore the negative reviews about the game's optimization, because I haven't experienced any problems yet playing in March 2021. They most likely have been ironed out by now and should not affect your experience if you play now.

As a long-time Vampire: The Masquerade-fan, I really looked forward to this game. Unfortunately, it really didn't live up to the expectations.
I'll skip the graphics, loading screens (oh god) and combat descriptions as you can find it in other reviews, my main concern is of RPG part. That's not an RPG game, since you are obviously stripped of all and any choice in the main game quest, and the end of the game looks more like a "vampire love story", and pretty bad one at that.
A lot of scenes doesn't make any sense at all, like for example the scene with the vampire hunter in the hospital: first you obviously walk into a trap (I could tell it would be a trap before that dreaded loading screen appeared), then after you defeat him, you've only two choices: spare him or turn him into a vampire. The obvious choice, in my opinion, would be to kill him, as you've killed previous bosses without any regret before, even your sister after she turned into a vampire. But nope, no choice at all.
In lots of other places I felt forced into making stupid answers too, since it was the only available dialog option, which caused total disappointment.
Vampire lore provided at the end of the game seems to be far-fetched and ridiculous.
Side quests are petty and uninteresting, as most of the characters in the game, which main purpose seems to be wandering around or waiting for you to give them yet another medicine. No open world or exploration allowed or encouraged: most of the time you'll just hit an invisible wall or fail mesmerize check. You also punished for resting and spending XP, as you'll need to clean the streets of enemies once again and provide drugs to NPCs every time you rest. Totally immersion breaking.
The craft mechanics are mostly too primitive, as well as skills leveling. Also, lack of saves punishes you in a way of exploring the possible outcomes if you kill someone: you probably don't want to start doing everything from scratch because of one character.

All in all:
- Vampyr isn't AAA game
- Vampyr isn't RPG
- Vampyr, a ****ing VAMPIRE GAME, has NO BLOOD/GORE

Short: Crusader Kings III is a must play if you are a fan of strategy games. Period.

Long: Crusader Kings 3 is truly incedible in his strategy medieval genre. It's an irrepressible story engine that spits out a constant stream of compelling alt-histories, delightfully infuriating characters and social puzzles that I've become obsessed with unravelling. I can't imagine being done with it. I just subsist on digital drama now. Will Sven finally leave the torture chamber and make a friend? What's Albert going to do now that he knows his wife is in love with his chancellor? And who's going to be committing patricide next? However, I need to spend less time writing this review and more time with my dynasties.. so, please excuse me..

This game is FPS at its best! No matter how many times you play it, you'll either crap your pants or have your mind explode out of the sheer awesomeness of this game!! Incredible puzzles, frightful and disgusting enemies, superb dialogue, and best of all a gun like no other that allows you to turn every day items to super destructive ITEMS OF TERROR!!! I don't care if you're the world's greatest gamer, if you havn't played this game...you havn't lived yet.

If an easier Sekiro/ Dark Soul would have Sex with a Wookiee and you combine this with Uncharted/ Tomb Raider, you probably would get Jedi: Fallen Order.

Here is my short pro/con list:

Pro :
- Graphics/ "Star Wars Feeling"
- free Cosmetics/Collectibles (which is not common for publisher like EA)
- Story isn't overwhelming, but still interesting enough to care about the (few!) characters
- Single Player Game
- no Microtransaction
- stunning panorama

CONS :
- extremely dumb A.I.. they stop chasing you after you run out of their "spawn location"/ as soon as you enter a new set of the map (you can simply run through the map without killing any troops because they "don't matter")
- nothing waits for you after the campaign (~15h Gameplay)
- Camera problems
- the After-Credit Scene is one of the MOST IMPORTANT THINGS in a Single player, and they didn't use this at all -> and still they tease us with a part 2

Conclusion: Fallen Order is a must have for Star Wars fans and the best Star Wars game in years. Both literally and figuratively: the Force is strong with this one. 7/10

First things first. 9/10 because 10/10 is impossible. There is always something to improve (I look at you Skellige Isles Side Quests). Period.

But yes, far I've enjoyed every damn second of this game, and that is very rare for me. Even when I went on a three hour epic quest after rope that I needed to make an armor set (seriously, rope is rarer than diamonds in this game!), I enjoyed the search and stumbled upon a lot of fun and interesting details and encounters in the world I probably wouldn't have found otherwise. The world CDProjekt Red has created is one that I cannot but praise. I find most open worlds to be uninteresting after a few hours, and oftentimes the story in such games isn't interesting enough for me to continue it, so I end up wandering aimlessly around the world until I quit and never play again. Fortunately both the world, story, quests and its inhabitants were more than enough to keep me playing for hours on end.

If you're a fan of the previous Witcher games, I see no reason for you not to enjoy this one immensely. If you're coming in looking for another Skyrim or a fantasy GTA, you're probably going to be disappointed. The Witcher 3 is first and foremost a story-driven RPG, not a sandbox. When I looked back at the story and characters in The Witcher 2 (a game I love greatly, despite its flaws), I realised how much better TW3 did these things. I have yet to encounter a semi-important character that isn't interesting in some way or a quest outside of monster and treasure hunts that doesn't have an interesting story to tell or a twist that turns everything on its head.

But do note that this is the opinion of someone who loves the previous games and mature, dark fantasy in the same vein as Game of Thrones. It's important to note that the PC performance is somewhat iffy, the graphics have been "downgraded" from the first trailers, the options for PC are underwhelming and when you reach the edges of the world, you are turned around (sometimes the edges are at very odd places, like the middle of a small island).. These things don't bother me enough to give it a lesser score, but could be enough to greatly annoy other people. So, as always, do take a score with a grain of salt, especially on Metacritic where people speak with 10s and 0s, and everything in between are as rare as golden dragons.

Oh, and Gwent, Gwent is addictive and could have been a small release on its own. Too few people mention Gwent, because to me that little card game is a huge plus.

Conclusion: As a story-driven, open world RPG with more than serviceable combat it is to me a must-have in every library and one of the best Games I ever played.
