Although the game itself is enjoyable from purely the "driving" side of it, the rest of the game as a "package" (service cough cough) is simply not worth it. Among my grievences are:

• Kernel-level anti-cheat in a simgleplayer game because of "online leaderboards" (no linux for me haha)
  
• The performance is atrocious (Ryzen 3700, RTX 3080)
  
• Inconsistent pacenote timing
  
• In a time attack mode having to turn off the ghost again every stage
  
• The nationality of your driver is determined by the voice you choose

And as a final nail in the coffin, Electronic Arts purchased Codemasters (creators of Dirt Rally et al), and EA WRC was meant to be a game continually updated with content (renamed from WRC 24), and they pulled the plug on it after barely a year. ♥♥♥♥ EA.

(EDIT) To clarify, a lot of the issues this game has are fairly minor (3 of the 5 bullet points). What i meant by those examples is that the game has many of these small-ish issues that make it obvious that this game did not recieve the love and attention 1) it deserved and 2) codemasters were capable of providing

BattlEye still not enabled for the Steam Deck

After 12 years they add anticheat which breaks Steam Deck compatibility. BattlEye has the option to support Linux/proton, this has to be either incredibly lazy or deliberate.

Would definitely recommend. This is one of my favourite games of this genre. Larian has done an excellent job of building a world that feels great to immerse yourself in, with many secrets and hidden easter eggs/fun encounters. Excellent voice acting and animations that make the characters feel distinct.
Some critiques include the balancing of some encounters, eg. large numbers of even low level enemies that the 5e base game makes hard to defend from, and a larger number of bugs in the later part of the game (which are being fixed, to be fair to Larian).
In conclusion, if you think you may like this game, you probably will and should buy it immediately.

I mean its fine

One of the best games I've played. The atmosphere this game is able to build around you is honestly amazing and despite the room around you being itself against you, you can still feel in CONTROL.
You don't buy this for the story, although you can get invested in it, you play and stay for the world.

Tohle je jedna z her které jdou hrát jak fanaticky - každý den 9 hodin v kuse, utratit 25 tisíc za výbavu nebo se k ní obrátit jednou za týden kdy si pozdě večer zapnete ETS a strávíte hodinku nebo dvě ježděním po Evropě. Rozhodně dobrá koupě, pokud o ní přemýšlíte.

One of my favorite games, COOP is enjoyable unlike many other games.
