Witches focus on intelligence, Rangers focus on dexterity, and Marauders focus on strength. The rest of the classes mix up the skillsets, which could be confusing for a newcomer.
A big tip I recommend for newcomers is to just worry about getting currency in the game in the beginning. They should not trade with other players or get rid of their currency, because it makes a huge impact later in the game.
