Very addictive puzzle game!

I completed the DEMO (before the game's release) in online mode, but the rest of the game offline.

After 100 %-ing everything I have to say: I'm impressed! This game includes different puzzle types, of which there are a few variants with changing difficulty. And ALL of the puzzle types were challenging and/or fun!

Maneuverability, map design/environment, puzzles, UI, camera options, and graphics were all fantastic! Story-wise: There are lore fragments, but they didn't appeal to me, so I ignored most of them.

The level-tree was quite interesting, but I didn't care about the character customization or the level progression system (that unlocks rare clothing items, or whatever).

The only other thing I didn't really like was that most puzzles in the "overworlds" reset after 24 h. That just made me walk past all of them. So I just concentrated on the Enclaves, Tasks, and Quests.

I would definitely recommend this game! Not only on discount, but even the full price. Worth it!

*Edit, because it felt obvious:
I have not encountered any bugs. If you see negative reviews that are only reporting bugs or crashes, they have probably been patched by now :)

Good additional content!
If you enjoyed The Talos Principle 2, then here's more for you!

Worth it, even without a discount.

This is the first time I got motion sick from a game. I'm constantly fighting the camera and there are no settings to adjust the camera's behaviour :(
I can't recommend this game until the devs (or modders) add a "follow character" toggle.

I can't recommend this game.
The only great things are the graphics and performance optimization.
But every other aspect is medieocre.
There are also a bunch of bugs and it crashed several times per session.

Luckily, I got it for only 3 € and wouldn't have paid more than that...

A deeply immersive psychological walking simulator with combat elements.
The story, acting, sounds, animations, graphics, environments and the occasional soundtrack are all very well done!

The combat looks really good but is overall the weakest part of the game due to the repeating enemies and the simple mechanics. But the number of fights are very limited and the game is short, so it'll never get annoying.

Definitely recommended if there's a discount!

Excellent puzzle game with rich environments and a deep philosophical story!

In some ways this game is superior to the first one, including more puzzle elements, the overall pacing, cutscenes, and the aesthetics (including animations, sounds, models, etc.).

Compared to The Talos Principle (including Road to Gehenna), the difficulty of the puzzles did not increase. You might expect them to be slightly harder than the first game, which actually make them feel easier. 546f6f20656173793f

I was also not expecting dialog choices and the Social Media interface. Both were absolutely necessary to drive the story forwards while introducing different viewpoints to make you philosophize about the underlying plot.
However, sometimes there were either too few dialog choices presented, or their interpretations/ responses differed from what I have expected.

Either way, I really liked the story and how it was handled. And I also liked the puzzles. Only because they were easy doesn't mean they were bad!

I'd definitely recommend it, even for non-puzzle enthusiasts! And it's worth the low full price!

This game tells many stories which you can follow at your own pace, all connecting in multiple endings.

You can go and do whatever you want from the start which is very overwhelming. But once you figured out a general gameplay loop you are able to enjoy your stay on the Eye and may never want to leave...

Would highly recommend!

And now I'll be waiting for...

Not perfect but worth playing!

I'm a huge Don't Nod fan and my expectations were quite high.
Having that in mind here is a quick spoiler-free summary of my opinion:

Pros:
  • All characters are fully voice acted and animated
  • The backgrounds are animated and change according to the events in the game
  • The mechanics on how the "decision tree" is working are extremely well done
  • You make about a bajillion decisions; each one opening and/or closing paths either known or unknown to you
  • Great choice and implementation of music and the voice cast
  • You are allowed to replay a small part of the game if you want to change recent decisions
Cons:
  • The introduction and overall handling of most characters didn't feel natural at all
  • Some of the writing is awful, but most of it is good
  • Cutscenes/camera pans are unskippable even after seeing it many times
My spoiler-free opinion on the story:
The first few chapters met and even exceeded my expectations. But about a third into the game I already knew where this was going. And it's a story that's already been told, only this time with a new facade. I was expecting more of a twist. The good thing: as far as I know, there are eight endings and each of them has its own chapter dedicated to it.

I think it's worth the full price only if you're planning to play it multiple times. Otherwise, wait for a discount!
