It's Amazing - Just buy it!

Scuba Dive and Spearfish in a spooky magical blue hole that can change environments by day and run a Sushi Restaurant with your catch by night, plus heaps of other fun little mini-games, easter-eggs and side quests to keep you entertained!

This game has added even more free content - I need to quit messing around and dedicate some time to just play it more!

Early Access Review
It's like Wargame:Red Dragon and Steel Division II had a baby set 1989 with a whole heap of improvements and some interesting new mechanics!

This has excellent potential now that a lot more units, divisions and maps have been added, each seem to play very differently - and it's really pretty game!

Absolutely beautiful game with hand drawn art and immaculate attention to detail. The whole thing is an enjoying and relaxing experience. You will get 4-5 hrs play through on your first run if you go looking for all the little easter eggs and spend some time managing your Oktomatic. A second play through wouldn't add much new necessarily except for potentially noticing a few new details and being able to focus more on efficiently keeping your vehicle going and keeping a good pace. You could probably get up to 3 runs if you are a completionist and are going for all the achievements, one of which is to complete it in under 99min - which might take you a few goes. I would probably happily play it a second time if I didn't have so many other games to play. Could easily be done in one sitting, or split up into many quick easy sessions, though it does lack a manual save so you may find yourself repeating small sections. It is excellent value on sale.

If you are a fan of scheming, grand strategy games and even RPGs (or anything from Paradox in the past really) you will enjoy this. Paradox games are known to have quite a steep learning curve, and while those totally new to their games might find that to be a bit of the case here there is a good tutorial, a built in wiki and heaps of guides on Youtube and elsewhere on the internet along with plenty of people that will be happy to help you out and play games with you.

This game is missing a bit of the depth that CK2 has now (but it has been out for a long time), but it makes up for that in making it much less tedious to get into the game - CK3 will continue to be fleshed out and supported for long into the future, it also has steam workshop mod support that. Paradox support their games for long periods of time. Even with the slightly reduced depth their are still endless hours of fun and shenanigans to be had here.

The City SIm that Sim City should have been (and far more)!

It's such an amazing game. So much content, more keeps getting added in workshop and by the Devs all the time. Most DLCs really add something to the game too, including free content (though many are best bought on sale). I keep wanting to sink more hours in but then more content pops out and I think I should wait, but I don't think the content will ever stop coming.

Frostpunk has deliverred the goods in my play time so far, the only reason I didn't play more is I started playing a different game and got more stuck into that (hint: contains Dinosaurs). My first attempt lasted about 27min before I was exiled into the cold wastelands after half my survivors were dead and the rest were starving, sick or freezing to death (though they were just as ♥♥♥♥♥♥ as my character was) because I tried to build to fast. My second attempt has been more measured w/ careful decisions and is going a lot better - In the beginning you really need to think and not get over extend yourself. I was worried the mechanics might be harsh but simple, but it seems to be a lot deeper, with more complexity than I originally thought so no complaints there and I think I have only just scratched the surface so far.

The theme is great. Steam punk, Ice Age Apocolypse Survival, Strategy/Sim/Management & City Builder. It all has been well thought our and works well together making this game pretty unique.

I haven't encountered any bugs, the graffics are solid and it all seems quite polished. From what I have experienced so far I think it is good value, worth the price (especially if you get it on sale). I still need to sink some proper gaming time into it - with the recent free update & new content - that time might be very soon. I think it will offer decent replayability and hold up well over time. Will update this review when I have played more and experienced some of the end game content.

This game probably isnt for everyone, it's more for those looking for a (sometimes tense) challenging experience. It can be grim & bleak at times, and requires thoughtful decision making & sometimes tense micro management, balancing resources in order to solve problems (sometimes just to make it through the day or night). It is in the problem solving & simply surviving the unforgiving nature of its theme that provides the reward for the player. It's not for those seeking something upbeat or a chilled (pun) relaxing experiences. Taking those things into account I strongly recommend it.

I am really impressed with the new content that has recently been released for free - I was concerned about the limited life of the base game. But these new additions should provide for a lot more playtime without spending any more money :)

Highly recommended!
You can play Superflight however you like > relaxing or something more thrilling. You make it what you want from chilled easy cruising & exploration to intense an intense high speed challenge. Excellent for chilling on the couch in big picture mode with music of your choice playing in the background.

It is really satisfying to thread the eye of a needle at ridiculous speed after smashing your face into the rocks before getting it right.

It is also excellent value for money & takes up very little disk space for the amount of time and enjoyment you can get out of it.

Stuff up - get thrown out of airlock and have to remote pilot your ship to save your before you sufficate.

Really enjoying this game. Its Different to pretty much anything I have played before. Pretty simple yet still a lot of variations in how you want to play - different weapons and gadgets that enable you to really mix things up, and a variety of missions that can be really tricky and require you to pick the right tools and work out how to get the job done.

I really like that you can jump in and play a quick mission in a few minutes or play for hours. At $10-15 you are going to get your money's worth for sure.

Yes! This is highly recommended for modern RTS fans where the focus is on more realistic combined arms combat compared to base building and spam rushing your opponent and who ever clicks faster wins. It offers a huge variety of units, strategies and ways to play the game. While often their is a few dominant metas - it is always possible to find different ways to overcome them and depending on your preferred play style.

Wargame chat is a meme on it's own and it can sometimes take a while to get a game. The community while smaller these days, still provides heaps of help learning or getting updated with unit balance changes and the current meta as well as the ability to arrange balanced games and work together as a team.

The Wargame franchise really is a new standard for RTS games, just be aware that it can take a while to get a handle of the game mechanics - it can be punishing at first and have a steep learning curve, especially in multiplayer. I really recommend this for anyone who is interested in a modern RTS. No need to worry about base building, the game is purely about combined arms combat and controlling the battlefield. My only bugbear is that the AI could use a lot of work to really improve the single player experience (or and it can cheat haha)

Hoping for Wargame 4 - if they add modding tools, adjustable loadouts, workshop support, a map and campaign editor it could be the best modern RTS ever. The South African DLC (2021) was a much welcomed late content edition.
