L'histoire n'est pas aussi captivante que le 2, mais cela reste dans l'ensemble un bon jeu

The story in a nutshell: there was an explosion at the Blackgate prison, the prisoners rebelled and there are hostages. The prison is divided into three territories controlled by three bosses: Joker, Penguin and Black Mask. Batman arrives to restore order.

Pros
  • The story is quite interesting, pursuing the story of Batman Arkham: Origins
  • Bosses
  • Some gameplay elements of Arkham games: Detective mode, main gadgets, silent takedowns...

Cons
  • Fights are boring: poor IA, collisions, and poor controls - especially the counters, which are undoubtedly the main element in the Arkham games fights, making the final boss fight a real pain in the ass
  • Detective mode is very limited: we must scan manually the area with the Alt key and the mouse to detect any objects we can interact with. In other words we have to stop every 2 meters to scan the screen in order to go further in the area or solve the side quests.
  • We spend our time doing backtracking: we start a first zone, arrived in the middle of the zone we need a gadget that is in the second zone, but arrived in this second zone we require an access code that we can get only in the third zone, then back to the second zone retrieve the necessary gadget to pass the first one and get the gadget needed in the third zone to retrieve the access code for the second one... The whole game is like this: backtracking everytime, for everything.
  • The map is extremely complicated to understand, very confused - which makes backtracking even more annoying
  • 2.5D. We can only move left or right, so entering a room or a vent pipe located on the back wall is sometimes very complicated. Similarly, we will discover some hidden pipes or doors just stepping back from time to time because the camera does not show us everything at once.

Fun, but waaaaay too short.

Pros
It's fun: dialogues and jokes, cut-scenes, cool new weapons, superpowers...

Cons
It's Saints Row IV with lava and demons but without scenario and character/vehicle customization. The main quest is made up of the usual secondary activities such as fraud or mayhem. So basically the objective is to control every part of the city and pick up clusters. It will take you about 8 hours to do it, a bit more if you want to do every single challenge.

Genre: Tower Defense and Platform

The goal: crush your enemies’ castle before they crush yours.

A weapon: You, A big rock ball. With a face.

Some defenses: towers, catapults, cows, elephants…

Simple. Fun. Crazy.

Symphony is a little game where you control a spaceship and shoot some enemies to get points and bonuses. You can customize your spaceship with up to 4 weapons, which can be automated and oriented in different directions. Nothing very new for now,

The originality is somewhere else: the music makes the level. Before starting a level, you have to choose a music in the list: the rhythm and the length of the music will be the main parameters of the level you will play, in addition to the chosen difficulty. The enemies will appear according to the rhythm of the music (typically, there will be more enemies or they will be faster during the chorus). The length of the level will be the one of the song. The music also define the objectives of the level (different amount of points, rewarded by some medals).

The best of this concept : you can synchronise your musical files, like your favorite playlist for example, which makes the game more interesting. Indeed, you know your songs, you like them, you know when the best part will come, the funniest moments when all the enemies will appear : you experience differently the game and your song at the same time, and this is awesome. The more levels and objectives you achieve, the more weapons and improvements you will have, allowing to put up the difficulty.

Symphony is a pretty easy game, fun, quick to play, perfect to relax.
