when it comes to horror, im no beginner. i have played some of the scariest games the genre has to offer such as mario and sonic at the olympic games for the nintendo wii and halo 3 for the xbox 360. however, nothing could have prepared me for resident evil.

the premise of the game is simple. armed with only the gravity gun from half life, the player must navigate the mansion and collect all 120 stars, defeat bowser and rescue princess peach. there are some truly terrifying moments in this game, for example when doctor eggman flew through the window and stole the chaos emeralds needed to complete one of the game's numerous puzzles. some of these puzzles are simple, however others will have you cracking out a calculator in order to continue. sadly, i have yet to complete this game as i cannot wrap my head around the navier stokes equation that must be solved before the final boss, however i do not want to cheat and use a guide.

without a doubt, this is the best game i have ever played. my only gripe is jill valentine's numerous uses of the n-word throughout the game. i thought this was highly distasteful and i am surprised no one else has raised this concern.

do yourself a favour and buy this game! its time to get in the robot!
