This game could've been great. Unfortunately, it's a buggy mess and because it only uses autosaves you either lock yourself out of content due to bugs or completely wreck your game due to bugs. The developer has been radio silent for years. It seems completely abandoned.

Bought this game a long time ago, loved playing it. Went to play again and not only do I now need an Epic Games account to even play... but I'm forced to link it to my Steam account. No thanks.

The game is fun and I know everybody loves it but the quality is absolutely terrible. It is 100% completely unplayable without a fan made patch. It just crashes constantly. Even with the patch, it will freeze whenever you try to load a game or fast travel. Rebooting doesn't fix it. You better hope you have a previous save that works. I honestly don't know if I can stand to finish the game.

Game will not start. No support. Community guides are great but don't work for me. Buy it on GOG instead.

Base game achievements require paid DLC. It's cheap... but that's still shady.

The game is a very interesting take on wartime. It forces you to make some tough choices and is a lot of fun to explore. Unfortunately, they decided to take the shady route of requiring DLC to finish the achievements.

This game was an incredibly fun nod to the old Where's Waldo books. It's beautifully hand drawn and clearly took a lot of effort. Unfortunately, they also added achievements to the base game that require a paid DLC after the fact. I'm really not a fan of those types of business practices.

EDIT: DLC was now made part of the base game and anybody who didn't have it got it for free. Changing review to a thumbs up!

This is a really neat game. It has a mechanic similar to the movie Next with Nick Cage. Each time you play through the game, you see the outcome of the various choices you make. Then you go back to the beginning with the ability to make new choices (or not). As you play, you uncover new "truths" that help you to formulate a plan to achieve the good ending.

The controls can be a little wonky sometimes, though I played with the keyboard and mouse. It's quite possible that they are much better with a controller. The only real negative consequence was when I hit the wrong target and it just happened to be an exploding raven. Then I took damage and lost that sweet "perfect" fight XP.

The voice acting and dialog is pretty great. I actually chuckled a number of times at the various goofiness or references. The narrator is entertaining and really captures the essence of the hero Reynardo.

The only real complaint I have is pacing. You can craft and fully upgrade all swords pretty quickly. Finding all 24 "bad" endings takes some time but can be entertaining. Unfortunately, even after doing all that you might still be 10+ levels away from unlocking all the abilities. So there is a bit of grinding if you're a completionist like me.

Overall, I really enjoyed this game and would recommend it. 8/10
