Honestly I play a lot of 4x but sure I am no Potato McWhiskey. What I can say is that this game was a fun twist on the 4x formula. Similar to the historical rails of say Victoria, Crusader Kings, or Civilization, but more of the complex systems and joy of say a Tropico with a dash of city planning like Cities Skylines. All in all I got this game on a sale but I would say this game is worth it's cost. It's a good game that I really enjoyed and the learning curve is nothing crazy but we are in the information age, you can get that info guys, gals, and non-binary pals. All in all its a solid thumbs up from me

Early Access Review
Fun game loop. Lots of nice mechanics. Executed well. Though not the most complex game loop or story narrative, still very enjoyable.

As someone who came from other 4x genre games, this is a very interesting and enjoyable game. It takes it's own spin on it from a more traditional 4x style. I enjoy the history and the rails it puts on to try to "re-imagine" what could have happened or just take away the rails and do some wacky things!

This is not your classic XCOM. However, it is still a fine game. This is like if XCOM had a personal stories between the team members and you cared really about how made it home besides that you had invested all that training in them. It really tries to have genuine connections with some insightful banter and interaction between certain team members and mission objectives. It shows a different side of the XCOM universe and for that I really liked it. The breach mechanic is probably one of the best ideas and should 300% be included in future XCOM. All in all if you enjoy tactics and the XCOM universe but like a drink maybe shaken and stirred from time to time, try this out.

This is my jam after a long day at work. Especially now with the latest expansions this has been really well fleshed out.
