still haven't 100%'d it

the mystery at the end feels kind of cheap to me, but maybe i missed something; the story otherwise is great, you get a great insight into the lives of all the people at play, and you get to feel like a real genius placing it all together mentally. all the characters are charming in their own right, and an absolute blast to talk to. the minigames/puzzles also feel kind of boring at times, more chore-like, especially after the first few times (and trust me, there's more than a few times where you have to solve them), but thankfully they're quite easy, so you're never hung up on them. the movement/platforming feels both awkward and super satisfying (atleast on controller), and the general "game feel" is all over the place for me; the environments are amazing, a sight to behold, how they connect is a bit non-sensical, but this is also meant to be the playground of the gods, so the whackiness is explained away like so, i guess. visually the game is spectacular, but also super plasticky and artificial feeling; this works wonders for the aggressive 80s aesthetic the game is striving for, but it's also a bit jarring at times.

overall i'd recommend the game; you'll love it from start to finish, even if begrudgingly.

Disco Elysium is probably the most melancholic game, as well as the most lifelike piece of media I've ever consumed. There is nothing in this world you can't recognise as a reference to our own- it's all a giant metaphor for how ♥♥♥♥♥♥ our recent history has been and still is. But it's hopeful. It sees a brighter future for all of us.

Enter the Gungeon was one of the most fun and innovative, not to mention comedic as hell games of recent; this on the other hand is like spitting on God's face, flipping the game on its head, and somehow still getting into heaven. A lot of people will judge this in context to EtG, but Exit the Gungeon is a fun and unique game in its own right. One thing I will mention, the mobile, arcade-y style of controls don't fit the game too well -- atleast not on PC; -- but it's not something that'll really ruin the play experience.

Dead cells is a fun and engaging roguelike, with possibly the greatest dev-team behind it in the gaming industry.
